Martin's, Friedewald's and Cordova's formulas compared to LDL-C directly measured in Southern Brazil
Conclusion: Martin ’ s equation is not accurate for estimating LDL-C in our sample, unless TG is between 300 and 400 mg/dl. Bloodstream infection by Acinetobacter radioresistens: the first case report in Brazil
This report is the description of the first case in Brazil of community-acquired bloodstream infection caused byAcinetobacter radioresistens. A 73-year-old male patient with Alzheimer ’ s and Parkinson ’ s disease was hospitalized and diagnosed with pneumonia at a general hospital. Prevalence of inversions in introns 1 and 22 of the factor VIII gene and inhibitors in patients from southern Brazil
Conclusion: Due to the small number of patients with inversions in intron 1, it was not possible to perform a statistical test for the correlation with risk of inhibitor development.
