Improving the Integrity of Surgical Education Scholarship
Formal surgical education scholarship was uncommon 20 years ago. The landscape for surgical education research has grown exponentially in terms of the quantity, rigor, and diversity of methodologies. A PubMed search using the term “surgical education” retrieved 2840 articles for 2002, 7419 for 2012, and 15 308 for 2022 (a 539% increase compared with 2002).
