Evaluating testicular function changes in unilateral cryptorchid chinese infants underwent orchidopexy in the first year of life
ConclusionAlthough orchiopexy can improve testicular growth and function, the restoration of testicular function to the level of healthy peers might take longer. To expedite the recovery of testicular function and bring it in line with that of peers, we recommend addressing cryptorchidism at the earliest opportunity. Correlation between bilateral GFR in patients with localized renal cancer after partial nephrectomy
ConclusionsDuring the course of the surgical procedure, the active endeavor to safeguard the renal function of the operated kidney side holds paramount importance, which yields positive outcomes for postoperative kidney function on the contralateral side, consequently contributing to the overall preservation of renal function. Enzyme-induced hypoxia leads to inflammation in urothelial cells in vitro
ConclusionWe conclude that hypoxia induced bladder damage requires a duration that is more likely related to elevated storage pressures/hypoxia, seen in later stages of BOO, as compared to shorter duration pressure elevation/hypoxia that is encountered in normal micturition cycles or early in the BOO pathology where storage pressures are still normal. Ureteral stone volume and female gender predicts perioperative complications after complete ipsilateral upper urinary tract stone removal using flexible ureterorenoscopy
ConclusionsThis study showed that ureteral stone volume and female gender have the possibility to increase perioperative complications. These preliminary data help to select for patients who are at low risk of complications. Therefore, in these selected patients, complete ipsilateral upper urinary tract stone removal using flexible ureterorenoscopy may reduce the recurrence of urolithiasis without increasing perioperative complications. Prediction of percutaneous nephrolithotomy outcomes and flexible ureteroscopy outcomes using nephrolithometry scoring systems
ConclusionFor PCNL, the S.T.O.N.E score had the best efficacy in predicting stone-free status, and the Guy's score had the best efficacy in predicting postoperative complications; for f-URS, the R.I.R.S score had the best efficacy in predicting stone-free status, and no scoring system predicted postoperative complications.
