Immunohistochemical expression of CD117/KIT, HER2, and Er β in schistosomal and non-schistosomal urothelial carcinoma of Egyptian patients
AbstractBladder carcinoma is an endemic problem in Egypt with schistosomiasis being an additional risk factor. Due to gender disparities, Er β investigation and its role in modulating chemosensitivity are studied. CD117/KIT expression is also considered since the emergence of the targets of the tyrosine kinase inhibitor imatinib mesylate (Gleevec). HER2 is one of the established therapeutic targets in many cancers. We aimed to investiga te CD117/KIT immunoexpression in schistosomal and non-schistosomal urothelial carcinoma of Egyptian patients and its relationship with HER2 and Erβ expressions, correlating it with pertin...

Review of self-efficacy assessment scales for geriatric patients with urinary incontinence
In this study, we reviewed the self-efficacy assessment tools for geriatric patients with urinary incontinence, to provide a reference for related research. It is important to accurately assess the self-efficacy of patients with geriatric UI to effectively enhance their level of self-efficacy, so that patients with geriatric UI can avail early help and quickly reintegrate with family and society. Activation of the adenosine A1 receptor in the lumbosacral spinal cord improves bladder overactivity in rats with cystitis induced by cyclophosphamide
ConclusionThe findings of this study suggest that intrathecal administration of the adenosine A1 receptor agonist CCPA alleviates CYP-induced bladder overactivity. Furthermore, our results indicate that the adenosine A1 receptor in the lumbosacral spinal cord may be a promising target for treatment of bladder overactivity. Comparison of unilateral and bilateral microdissection testicular sperm extraction (MD-TESE) in patients with non-obstructive azoospermia: a prospective study
ConclusionsIn our study, it was determined that there was no significant difference between the groups in terms of sperm availability in patients with NOA. Considering the operative time and complication rates of bilateral MD-TESE in patients diagnosed with NOA and the possible MD-TESE procedures that may be performed later, we believe that unilateral MD TESE is a more preferable procedure for the patient and surgeon in this patient group. Bladder perforation as a complication of transurethral resection of bladder tumors: the predictors, management, and its impact in a series of 1570 at a tertiary urology institute
ConclusionsThe overall incidence of bladder perforation is 10%; however, 86% required only prolongation of urethral catheter. Bladder perforation did not affect the probability for tumor recurrence, tumor progression nor radical cystectomy. (Source: International Urology and Nephrology)

Effect of ureteral stricture in transplant kidney and choice of treatment on long-term graft survival
ConclusionThe ureteral stricture has a negative correlation with the long-term survival rate of the transplant kidney, the curative rate and long-term effect of open surgery are the best, stricture recurrence rate of luminal surgery is high, and it may require multiple operations in the future, the MCA is a new breakthrough and innovation in the treatment of ureteral stricture. Nomogram for predicting the biochemical recurrence of prostate cancer after neoadjuvant androgen deprivation therapy
ConclusionsWe constructed and validated a nomogram to predict the risk of BCR in PCa patients after nADT. This nomogram is a complement to the existing risk stratification systems for PCa, which could have marked implications for clinical decision-making for PCa patients after nADT.
