Knowledge mapping of UMOD of English published work from 1985 to 2022: a bibliometric analysis
ConclusionsThe number of UMOD-related articles has steadily increased over the past decades Current UMOD studies focused on Biological relevance of the UMOD to kidney function and potential applications in the risk of CKD mechanisms, these might provide ideas for further research in the UMOD field. Bladder perforation as a complication of transurethral resection of bladder tumors: the predictors, management, and its impact in a series of 1570 at a tertiary urology institute
ConclusionsThe overall incidence of bladder perforation is 10%; however, 86% required only prolongation of urethral catheter. Bladder perforation did not affect the probability for tumor recurrence, tumor progression nor radical cystectomy. (Source: International Urology and Nephrology)

The effect of adding Montelukast to oxybutynin on daily urination in children with pollakiuria: a randomized clinical trial
ConclusionThe results of this study showed that adding montelukast to oxybutynin has a significant decrease in frequency of daily urination in patients with pollakiuria, although further studies are recommended in this area. (Source: International Urology and Nephrology)

Association between oxidative balance score and urinary incontinence in females: results from the national health and nutrition examination survey in 2005 –2018
ConclusionAmong females, the higher the OBS, the lower the prevalence of UI. Therefore, dietary and lifestyle-related antioxidant therapy for females with UI should receive attention and be subject to further investigation. (Source: International Urology and Nephrology)

Effect of ureteral stricture in transplant kidney and choice of treatment on long-term graft survival
ConclusionThe ureteral stricture has a negative correlation with the long-term survival rate of the transplant kidney, the curative rate and long-term effect of open surgery are the best, stricture recurrence rate of luminal surgery is high, and it may require multiple operations in the future, the MCA is a new breakthrough and innovation in the treatment of ureteral stricture. Nomogram for predicting the biochemical recurrence of prostate cancer after neoadjuvant androgen deprivation therapy
ConclusionsWe constructed and validated a nomogram to predict the risk of BCR in PCa patients after nADT. This nomogram is a complement to the existing risk stratification systems for PCa, which could have marked implications for clinical decision-making for PCa patients after nADT. Sufentanil inhibits Pin1 to attenuate renal tubular epithelial cell ischemia –reperfusion injury by activating the PI3K/AKT/FOXO1 pathway
ConclusionSufentanil reduced Pin1 expression through activation of the PI3K/AKT/FOXO1 signaling to suppress cell apoptosis, oxidative stress and inflammation in renal tubular epithelial cells during RIRI development. (Source: International Urology and Nephrology)

Exploring the characteristics of gut microbiome in patients of Southern Fujian with hypocitraturia urolithiasis and constructing clinical diagnostic models
ConclusionGMB disorder may be involved in the occurrence and clinical characteristics of HCU by influencing genetic and metabolic pathways. The new microbiome-clinical indicator diagnostic model is effective. (Source: International Urology and Nephrology)

The results of SGLT-2 inhibitors use in kidney transplantation: 1-year experiences from two centers
ConclusionSGLT-2i in KTR is not associated with an increased risk of genital infection and UTI in diabetic KTR, even in the early posttransplant period. The use of SGLT-2i reduces proteinuria in KTR and has no adverse effects on allograft function at the 12-month follow-up. (Source: International Urology and Nephrology)

The prediction of cancer-specific mortality in T1 non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer: comparison of logistic regression and artificial neural network: a SEER population-based study
ConclusionsAvailable risk factors might be useful to estimate the risk of CSS and OS and thus facilitate optimal treatment choice. The accuracy of survival prediction is still moderate. T1 BC with adverse features requires more aggressive treatment after initial TURBT. (Source: International Urology and Nephrology)

Evaluation of automated microscopy sediment analysis in urinary tract infection screening: a practical insight in adjusting fixed cut-off values for urine culture
ConclusionUsing cut-offs values leads to a notable decrease of the total number of urine cultures. According to our analysis, adjusting cut-off values could result in 37% less urine cultures and almost 50% less negative cultures. Hereby, unnecessary cost can be prevented [in our department estimated €31.470 in eight months (€ 47.205/year)]. (Source: International Urology and Nephrology)

Early three-month report of amniotic bladder therapy in patients with interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome
ConclusionABT could be an innovative treatment option for IC/BPS patients in terms of improving clinical symptoms based on preliminary outcomes at 3  months. Further studies are warranted to confirm the usefulness of ABT in patients with IC/BPS and to determine the duration of the effect. (Source: International Urology and Nephrology)
