ConclusionsThe impacts of leader ‐leader‐member exchange, team‐member exchange, and member‐leader‐member exchange on job satisfaction were confirmed. To reduce turnover intention, our study found it is more important to improve leader‐member exchange than team‐member exchange.Implications for nursing practiceIn health organizations, there is an important need to focus on the communication and exchange relationships between leaders and their staff, well as among the members, to increase job satisfaction. Nursing students ’ perception of the professional nurse's role in four European countries
ConclusionsNursing students in Belarus, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden perceive differently the role of a nurse in terms of some functions and responsibilities. This may influence the adaptation of nurses who enjoy freedom of movement among the countries.Implications for nursing policyThe knowledge gained in this study could be beneficial in improving nursing education, as it could illuminate the discrepancy between educational goals and students ’ perceptions of their future professional role. Evaluation of psychometric properties of instruments measuring nursing ‐sensitive outcomes: a systematic review
ConclusionThe majority of studies had a high methodological strength and a thorough validation process. The Nurse Caring Behaviours Scale, the MISSCARE Survey, the Patient Advocacy Engagement Scale and the INICIARE scale were the tools which best combined structure, methodological quality and risk of bias.Implications for nursing and health policyThe instruments with the best psychometric properties should be implemented in acute care settings to improve the quality of care, assess the effectiveness of nursing interventions, reduce health expenditure and reduce the occurrence of adverse events.
