Use of Aggressive Surveillance for Locoregional Endometrial Cancer After Local Therapy
Conclusions Patients who develop asymptomatic recurrences of their endometrial carcinoma do not seem to have a better prognosis than those who present with symptomatic recurrences. Thus, these results do not support routine imaging surveillance for patients treated for locoregional endometrial carcinoma. Further prospective evaluation is needed. Tumor Grade Correlation Between Preoperative Biopsy and Final Surgical Specimen in Endometrial Cancer: The Use of Different Diagnostic Methods and Analysis of Associated Factors
Conclusions Preoperative biopsy, regardless of the method, has its limitations in predicting the tumor grade compared with final surgical specimen in women with endometrioid endometrial cancer at an apparent early stage. Concordance between the biopsy and hysterectomy specimen is less likely to happen in the case of preoperative G1 or G2 tumors, as well as in big tumors. Although hysteroscopy was associated with the highest tumor grade agreement, no differences in correlation between the 3 methods (D&C, Pipelle, and hysteroscopy) were found. Endometriosis-Associated Ovarian Cancer: Population Characteristics and Prognosis
Conclusions The presence of coexisting endometriosis did not change the prognosis of EOC but was associated with better OS in patients with CCOC. Patients with CCOC and EOC at initial stages and EOC at advanced stages have a good prognosis; however, CCOC at advanced stages had a sooner recurrence and shorter OS. Role of Survivin and p53 Expression in Response of Primary Culture of Ovarian Cancer Cells to Treatment With Chemotherapeutic Agents
Conclusions The present study highlights the fact that establishing primary cultures from ascitic fluid may help to develop personalized treatment regime for individual patients based on their molecular profile. Our study also shows that supplementing taxols drugs with survivin inhibitors may prove to be beneficial in the treatment of ovarian cancer patients. The Impact of Saphenous Vein Sparing During Inguinal Lymphadenectomy on Postoperative Morbidity in Women With Vulval Cancer: An Updated Per-Groin Meta-analysis of Short-term Outcomes
Objective Inguinofemoral lymphadenectomy (IFL) is included in the standard surgical management of early-stage vulval cancer (VC) but is often accompanied by surgical complications. Efforts have been made to limit the postoperative morbidity by adopting more conservative IFL techniques without compromising the surgical outcomes. Saphenous vein (SV) preservation during IFL for VC appears to reduce the incidence of postoperative complications including lymphedema. To ascertain the efficacy of SV preservation, we aimed to revisit the impact of SV preservation on short-term per groin complications by updating on a previous me...

Predictors of Locally Advanced Disease at Presentation and Clinical Outcomes Among Cervical Cancer Patients Admitted at a Tertiary Hospital in Botswana
Conclusions Lack of cervical cancer screening, vaginal bleeding, low abdominal pain, and unmarried status were associated with advanced disease at presentation. We recommend scale-up of cervical cancer screening and its integration into routine human immunodeficiency virus care. Capacity building in gynecologic oncology and palliative care services is currently critical. (Source: International Journal of Gynecological Cancer)

Role of Extensive Lymphadenectomy in Early-Stage Cervical Cancer Patients With Radical Hysterectomy Followed by Adjuvant Radiotherapy
Conclusions These results suggest that more extensive lymphadenectomy significantly improve the outcomes of patients with positive PLN even followed by adjuvant RT. (Source: International Journal of Gynecological Cancer)

Gastric-Type Adenocarcinoma of the Uterine Cervix: Magnetic Resonance Imaging Features, Clinical Outcomes, and Prognostic Factors
Objective Gastric-type mucinous adenocarcinoma (GAS) of uterine cervix has been suggested as distinct clinicopathologic behavior. Our study aimed to investigate the distinguishing imaging features and clinical outcomes of GAS. Methods Fifteen cases of GAS and 45 cases of 3:1 age-matched usual-type endocervical carcinoma (UEA) were assessed. Clinical parameters (age, tumor size, clinical stage, and time to recurrence [TTR] or death) and pathologic results confirmed by surgery were recorded. Imaging features (tumor shape, margin, presence of vaginal involvement, or cyst) on magnetic resonance T2-weighed images were eval...

Activity of Pembrolizumab in Recurrent Cervical Cancer: Case Series and Review of Published Data
Conclusions Pembrolizumab shows promising activity in heavily pretreated patients with recurrent cervical cancer in a real-life clinical setting. Treatment was generally well tolerated, and adverse effects were manageable. Growing evidence supports the use of pembrolizumab in this group of patients. Management of Vertebral Metastasis in Patients With Uterine Cervical Cancer
Conclusions We found that patients with lymphovascular space invasion were at high risk of isolated VM and that the survival times after CT and CRT were similar. Because most VMs are seen in the vertebral space within the borders of radiation therapy, borders of external beam radiotherapy should be carefully determined for each patient. End-of-Life Care for Patients With Advanced Ovarian Cancer Is Aggressive Despite Hospice Intervention: A Population-Based Study
Conclusions The aggressiveness of EOL cancer care and healthcare costs could not be offset in the final month of life among women with advanced ovarian cancer who received hospice care. The factors of more hospitalizations and dying in hospital warrant further investigation. (Source: International Journal of Gynecological Cancer)

A Randomized Trial of Prophylactic Extended Carboplatin Infusion to Reduce Hypersensitivity Reactions in Recurrent Ovarian Cancer
Conclusions A prophylactic, extended carboplatin infusion was not associated with a decreased HSR rate. The overall low HSR rate suggests that premedication may help reduce HSRs. (Source: International Journal of Gynecological Cancer)
