Two cases of anaphylaxis due to contrast media during administration of nivolumab and ipilimumab in metastatic renal cell carcinoma
AbstractA combination therapy of nivolumab and ipilimumab is effective for advanced renal cell carcinoma, but there are concerns about immune-related adverse events. A 46-year-old man was hospitalized for metastatic renal cell carcinoma. On day 9, he received nivolumab and ipilimumab. On days 16 and 49, he presented with fever, skin rash, and hypotension after contrast-enhanced computed tomography. A 70-year-old man was hospitalized for metastatic renal cell carcinoma. On day 9, he received nivolumab and ipilimumab. On day 44, he presented with fever, skin rash, and hypotension after contrast-enhanced computed tomography. ...

Complete response to combination therapy with nivolumab and ipilimumab for metastatic collecting duct carcinoma of the kidney
AbstractCollecting duct carcinoma (CDC) of the kidney is a rare subtype of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) arising from the distal collecting tubules, characterized by an aggressive phenotype, unfavorable response to several types of systemic agent and a poor prognosis. Recently, treatments with immune checkpoint inhibitors have been widely performed for patients with metastatic RCC; however, no data are available regarding the impact of first-line combination therapy with nivolumab and ipilimumab on metastatic CDC. Here, we report a CDC patient with multiple lymph node metastases who underwent cytoreductive open nephrectomy an...

Adrenal leiomyosarcoma in a young adult male
We report a rare case of leiomyosarcoma arising from the left adrenal gland in a 27-year-old male who presented with left side back ache. It was a solid mass of\({9} \times 6.5 \times 7\) cms situated superior to the left kidney. Left adrenalectomy was done and microscopic examination revealed a primary adrenal leiomyosarcoma. Rectal cancer with extensive distal intramural spread treated by abdominoperineal resection
We report a case of rectal cancer with preoperatively diagnosed distant intramural spread to approximately 6.5 cm. A 75-year-old woman diagnosed with upper rectal cancer was scheduled to undergo low anterior resection 5 weeks after initial presentation. However, preoperative digital rectal ex amination and anoscopy under general anesthesia revealed a rectal tumor 4 cm proximal to the anal verge; adenocarcinoma was diagnosed based on frozen section analysis of the rectal tumor. Therefore, abdominoperineal resection was performed, and histopathological examination confirmed a moderately d ifferentiated adenocarcinoma with ...
