Id1 expression in CD4 T cells promotes differentiation and function of follicular helper T cells and upregulation of related functional molecules
In conclusion, E proteins play a crucial role in regulating TFH/TFR cell differentiation and function and suppressing E protein activity promotes germinal centre humoral immunity, which has important implications for immune regulation and treating related diseases.PMID:38501859 | DOI:10.1111/imm.13782 (Source: Immunology)

Sialic acid in the regulation of blood cell production, differentiation and turnover
Immunology. 2024 Mar 19. doi: 10.1111/imm.13780. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTSialic acid is a unique sugar moiety that resides in the distal and most accessible position of the glycans on mammalian cell surface and extracellular glycoproteins and glycolipids. The potential for sialic acid to obscure underlying structures has long been postulated, but the means by which such structural changes directly affect biological processes continues to be elucidated. Here, we appraise the growing body of literature detailing the importance of sialic acid for the generation, differentiation, function and death of haematopoietic cell...

Cooperative induction of CXCL chemokines by inflammatory cytokines and oxidized phospholipids
This study analysed in vitro pro-inflammatory activity of inflammatory cytokines (TNFα and IL-1β) in a combination with a lipid DAMP molecule, oxidized palmitoyl-arachidonoyl-phosphatidylcholine (OxPAPC). The study was performed on endothelial and monocytic cell lines. The cells were treated with different concentrations of TNFα or IL-1β, OxPAPC and their combinations, either in the presence or absence of drugs regulating inflammation. Pro-inflammatory effects of TNFα/IL-1β and OxPAPC were estimated by analysis of chemokines CXCL8, CXCL2 and CXCL3 by ELISA and RT-PCR. Toxicity was determined by analysis of metabolic ...

TREM1/DAP12 based novel multiple chain CAR-T cells targeting DLL3 show robust anti-tumour efficacy for small cell lung cancer
In this study, we have developed a DLL3-TREM1/DAP12 CAR-T (DLL3-DT CAR-T) therapy, demonstrating comparable anti-tumour efficacy against SCLC cells in vitro. In murine xenograft and patient-derived xenograft models, DLL3-DT CAR-T cells exhibited a more robust tumour eradication efficiency than second-generation DLL3-BBZ CAR-T cells. Furthermore, we observed elevated memory phenotypes, induced durable responses, and activation under antigen-presenting cells in DLL3-DT CAR-T cells. Collectively, these findings suggest that DLL3-DT CAR-T cells may offer a novel and potentially effective therapeutic strategy for treating DLL3-...

Prevention and treatment of HPV-related cancer through a mRNA vaccine expressing APC-targeting antigen
In conclusion, this study described a therapeutic mRNA vaccine inducing strong anti-tumour immunity in peripheral and in tumour microenvironment, holding promising potential to treat HPV-induced cancer and to prevent cancer recurrence.PMID:38471664 | DOI:10.1111/imm.13777 (Source: Immunology)
