Effect of physical exercise on inactivated COVID-19 vaccine antibody response in the elderly
CONCLUSIONS: Regular exercise of light to moderate intensity may increase post-vaccination antibody response in the elderly. Therefore, exercise can be used as a behavioral adjuvant to improve the vaccine efficacy in the elderly.PMID:38339926 | DOI:10.3233/HAB-230020 (Source: Human Antibodies)

Investigating the impact of the genetic variant CXCR1 (rs2234671) in individuals with urinary tract infections
CONCLUSIONS: Although no significant association between CXCR1 (rs2234671) and UTI was found, the GG genotype may point to the increasing probability of UTI risk. Additional research is required to confirm and expand these conclusions.PMID:38339925 | DOI:10.3233/HAB-230019 (Source: Human Antibodies)

Demographic and clinico-pathological characteristics of colorectal cancer in Kirkuk governorate, Iraq
CONCLUSION: CRC is common in early onsets or young age groups with similar pathological characteristics to those of the late onset cancer. Accordingly, even mild lower gastrointestinal symptoms should be taken seriously. The study points toward an increasing awareness of the population on the importance of colorectal cancer. Also, conducting more surveillance studies and investigations would be recommended for early detections of the disease in young populations.PMID:38217589 | DOI:10.3233/HAB-230011 (Source: Human Antibodies)

Significance of antibody numbering systems in the development of antibody engineering
Hum Antibodies. 2023;31(4):71-80. doi: 10.3233/HAB-230014.ABSTRACTImmunotherapy has become increasingly popular in recent years for treating a variety of diseases including inflammatory, neurological, oncological, and auto-immune disorders. The significant interest in antibody development is due to the high binding affinity and specificity of an antibody against a specific antigen. Recent advances in antibody engineering have provided a different view on how to engineer antibodies in silico for therapeutic and diagnostic applications. In order to improve the clinical utility of therapeutic antibodies, it is of paramount im...

Does TNF- α 308 G/A (rs1800629) gene polymorphism associate with liver and pancreas disorders in Iraqi adults with beta thalassemia major?
CONCLUSION: It can be concluded that the prevalence of TNF-α 308 G/A SNP plus (A) allele could be associated with risk of liver and pancreas disorders in sample of beta thalassemia major adult.PMID:38217591 | DOI:10.3233/HAB-230015 (Source: Human Antibodies)
