ConclusionPirfenidone and nintedanib do not modulate expression of senescence markers, levels of p ‐SMAD3 or the amount of fibrosis in IPF lungs. Treated patients have less histopathological evidence of acute lung injury at the time of lung transplantation. (Source: Histopathology)

Equivocal (HER2 IHC 2+) breast carcinomas: gene –protein assay testing reveals association between genetic heterogeneity, individual cell amplification status and potential treatment benefits
ConclusionNon ‐heterogeneous HER2 IHC 2+ tumours tend to be HER2‐amplified. Adding the percentage of cells with HER2>6 copies to the average HER2/CEP17 ratio may facilitate assessment of amplification status in ISH ‐equivocal cases. The proportion of cells with HER2/CEP17 ≥2.0 contributes information concerning the actual average HER2/CEP17 ratio, depending on tumour type. (Source: Histopathology)

Does CSF1 overexpression or rearrangement influence biological behaviour in tenosynovial giant cell tumours of the knee?
ConclusionIn diagnosing TGCT, CSF1mRNA ‐ISH, in combination withCSF1 split ‐apart FISH using digital correlative microscopy, is an auxiliary diagnostic tool to identify rarely occurring neoplastic cells. This combined approach allowed us to detectCSF1 rearrangement in 76% of the TGCT cases. Associations among histological characteristics and patient outcomes in colorectal carcinoma with a mucinous component

High PTGS2 expression in post neoadjuvant chemotherapy treated oesophageal adenocarcinoma is associated with improved survival: a population ‐based cohort study
ConclusionsHigh PTGS2 expression in oesophageal adenocarcinoma tissue was associated with improved overall and cancer ‐specific survival, contrasting previous evidence. The histologic diagnosis of IgG4 ‐related disease on small biopsies: Challenges and pitfalls
ConclusionPatients with a presumptive diagnosis of IgG4 ‐RD but lacking characteristic pathologic features of this disease appear clinically similar to those that meet current pathologic guidelines. An elevated IgG4:total IgG is the most sensitive pathologic feature and ISH provides a robust quantitation platform. We recommend evaluating tumefactive ly mphoplasmacytic infiltrates with increased IgG4:IgG, regardless of histological features, for IgG4‐RD.This article is protected by copyright. Histopathological diagnosis of persistent pruritic eruptions associated with adult ‐onset Still's disease
