Patient headache questionnaires can improve headache diagnosis and treatment in children
CONCLUSIONS: Interventions to improve specificity of diagnosis were effective and led to increased rates of prescription of migraine treatments. These results have been sustained over several years. This headache questionnaire was adapted into the Foundation system of EpicCare, so it is broadly available as a clinical and research tool for institutions that use this EHR software.PMID:37975482 | DOI:10.1111/head.14643 (Source: Headache)

Numbers needed to treat or harm and likelihood of being helped versus harmed for fremanezumab in patients who had prior inadequate response to two to four classes of migraine preventive medications: A post hoc analysis
CONCLUSIONS: The NNT, NNH, and LHH for quarterly and monthly fremanezumab compare favorably with those for traditional oral preventive medications, including topiramate, valproate, and propranolol.PMID:37955395 | DOI:10.1111/head.14651 (Source: Headache)

Association between secondhand smoke exposure and severe headaches or migraine in never-smoking adults
CONCLUSIONS: The study demonstrated that heavy SHS exposure (serum cotinine at 1 to 10 ng/mL) had a significant positive association with severe headaches or migraine in never-smoking adults. Prospective studies are necessary to verify this relationship in the future.PMID:37938023 | DOI:10.1111/head.14640 (Source: Headache)
