PREDICT-GTN 2: Two-factor streamlined models match FIGO performance in gestational trophoblastic neoplasia
CONCLUSIONS: Our streamlined models could be used to assess GTN patients and replace FIGO, statistically matching performance. Given the importance of imaging parameters in guiding treatment, M2 and M3 are favoured for ongoing validation. In resource-poor countries, where access to specialist centres is problematic, M1 could be pragmatically implemented. Further prospective validation on a larger cohort is recommended.PMID:38091775 | DOI:10.1016/j.ygyno.2023.11.017 (Source: Gynecologic Oncology)

Mixed-method approach to informing a lifestyle intervention to improve the survivorship of patients with endometrial cancer
CONCLUSION: ECS are a disparate population, with worsening behaviors and mental health following the pandemic. The identified ECS-specific barriers and facilitators to behavioral intervention participation are being used to simultaneously improve the reach of and adherence to a lifestyle intervention aimed at improving their health and QoL.PMID:38091776 | DOI:10.1016/j.ygyno.2023.11.028 (Source: Gynecologic Oncology)

Genomic characterization of vulvar squamous cell carcinoma reveals differential gene expression based on clinical outcome
CONCLUSIONS: ACVR2A and TGM3 are significantly under-expressed in tumors with poor outcome, suggesting they may play a role in tumor suppression. Clinical outcome of VSCC appears independent of MSI, TMB, or PD-L1 status.PMID:38086165 | DOI:10.1016/j.ygyno.2023.11.026 (Source: Gynecologic Oncology)

Practice patterns, time trends and quality of care of uterine cancer in Belgium: An analysis of the EFFECT database
CONCLUSIONS: Study results indicate an overall good quality of care for patients with uterine cancer in Belgium. Treatment areas with potential room for improvement include the use of minimally invasive surgery, comprehensive surgical staging and adjuvant therapy, which confirms the remaining controversies in uterine cancer treatment and the need for further research.PMID:38086166 | DOI:10.1016/j.ygyno.2023.11.015 (Source: Gynecologic Oncology)
