Efficacy and Safety of Argon Plasma Coagulation for the Ablation of Barrett's Esophagus: A Systemic Review and Meta-Analysis
CONCLUSIONS: High-power and hybrid APC seem to have an advantage over standard APC in terms of clearance rate and recurrence rate. Further studies are required to compare the efficacy and safety of hybrid APC with standard APC and radiofrequency ablation.PMID:37800316 | DOI:10.5009/gnl230094 (Source: Gut and Liver)

A Silent Outbreak of Hepatitis E Virus (HEV) Infection or False-Positive Reaction of Anti-HEV IgM after COVID-19 Vaccination? Epidemiological Investigation of an Outbreak in a Korean Factory Complex in 2022
CONCLUSIONS: This epidemiological investigation showed that anti-HEV IgM positivity may occur as a false-positive result related to COVID-vaccination over three times and use of the Moderna vaccine, although a portion of true HEV infection may not be excluded.PMID:37800317 | DOI:10.5009/gnl230098 (Source: Gut and Liver)

Utilization of an Automated Latex Agglutination Turbidity Assay for Assessing Gastric Mucosal Alteration during < em > Helicobacter pylori < /em > Infection
CONCLUSIONS: : The LA assay can determine the risk of atrophic gastritis, which in turn is a considerable risk factor for gastric cancer. We propose using this assay in combination with the PG I/II ratio to avoid missing gastric cancer patients who have a low LA value (less than 32.0 U/mL).PMID:37720994 | DOI:10.5009/gnl220464 (Source: Gut and Liver)
