Construction of cellulose-degrading microbial consortium and evaluation of their ability to degrade spent mushroom substrate
In this study, four strains of cellulose-degrading bacteria were screened, and F16, F, and F7 were identified as B. amyloliquefaciens, PX1 identified as B. velezensis. At the same time, two groups of cellulose efficient degrading microbial consortiums (PX1 + F7 and F16 + F) were successfully constructed. SARS-CoV-2 mutant spectra as variant of concern nurseries: endless variation?
DiscussionWe evaluate possible interpretations of these findings, and reviewed precedents for rapid selection of genomes with multiple mutations in RNA viruses. These considerations suggest that intra-host evolution may be sufficient to generate minority sequences which are closely related to sequences typical of other clades. The results provide a model for the origin of variants of concern during epidemic spread─in particular Omicron lineages─that does not require prolonged infection, involvement of immunocompromised individuals, or participation of intermediate, non-human hosts. Comprehensive genome sequence analysis of Ralstonia solanacearum gd-2, a phylotype I sequevar 15 strain collected from a tobacco bacterial phytopathogen
In this study, we identified and sequenced the genome of R. solanacearum strain gd-2 isolated from tobacco.ResultsStrain gd-2 was identified as R. solanacearum species complex (RSSC) phylotype I sequevar 15 and exhibited strong pathogenicity to tobacco. The alternative coproporphyrinogen III oxidase (CgoN) catalyzes the oxygen-independent conversion of coproporphyrinogen III into coproporphyrin III
