Bimekizumab for the treatment of psoriatic arthritis
Expert Rev Clin Immunol. 2023 Nov 1. doi: 10.1080/1744666X.2023.2277266. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTINTRODUCTION: Interleukin (IL)-17A and IL-17F have overlapping roles in pro-inflammatory signaling and have been implicated in the pathogenesis of psoriatic disease. Bimekizumab is the first human monoclonal antibody to selectively inhibit IL-17F in addition to IL17A. Bimekizumab has been studied in several phase II/III trials and has been approved for the treatment of patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) in the EU and UK.AREAS COVERED: A literature search identified clinical trials examining the efficacy and safety of...

Pan-cancer analysis of the prognostic significance of < em > ACKR2 < /em > expression and the related genetic/epigenetic dysregulations
CONCLUSIONS: ACKR2 expression was associated with favorable prognosis in patients with uveal melanoma and hepatocellular carcinoma. ACKR2 dysregulation might be an accumulated result of gene copy number alterations, transcriptional disruption, and RNA modifications.PMID:37882761 | DOI:10.1080/1744666X.2023.2274361 (Source: Expert Review of Clinical Immunology)

Hematological involvement in sarcoidosis: from cytopenias to lymphoma
We present an updated overview of the hematological involvementassociated with sarcoidosis, including a management approach forcytopenias and revisiting the association with hematologicalmalignancies.AREAS COVERED: Theetiology of cytopenias in sarcoidosis can be attributed to two majoretiopathogenic mechanisms: infiltration of hematopoietic organs suchas the spleen and bone marrow, and autoimmune-mediated cytopenias. With respect to the association with hematological malignancies, itrequires careful evaluation of patients from a chronologicalperspective. Patients must be classified into one of three pathogenicscenarios, inc...

Pediatric IgG4-related disease: a descriptive review
Expert Rev Clin Immunol. 2023 Oct 24. doi: 10.1080/1744666X.2023.2274358. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTINTRODUCTION: IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is an immune-mediated systemic fibroinflammatory condition characterized by serum IgG4 elevation and IgG4-positive plasma cell infiltration into various organs. It generally occurs in elderly males. Pediatric cases have been reported, albeit rarely, accordingly lack of recognition of such cases could delay therapeutic intervention leading to poorer outcomes.AREAS COVERED: The present review is a descriptive review of all published case reports, cohort studies, and reviews of p...
