Vaccination Setting of Patients with Autoimmune Diseases in Times of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus Type 2 Pandemic Using the Example of Multiple Sclerosis Patients: A Longitudinal Multicenter Study
Conclusions: The vaccination topic was not immediately present in many patients before the pandemic. MS patients need comprehensive and understandable education meeting their concerns using evidence-based and convincing arguments on the subject of vaccination, particularly younger patients. Older patients are already more often willing to become vaccinated. Complete vaccination status is necessary to avoid multiple infections.Eur Neurol (Source: European Neurology)

Detection of Major Human Herpesviruses in Iranian Patients with Suspected Encephalitis Using Multiplex Polymerase Chain Reaction
Conclusions: This multiplex PCR assay detects simultaneously different herpesviruses in CSF samples of patients with suspected encephalitis in 2 rounds of PCR amplification; therefore, it is a reliable and cost-saving diagnostic method for evaluating patients infected with herpesvirus with neurological disorders.Eur Neurol (Source: European Neurology)

Nerve Hypertrophy and Altered Diffusion in Anti-Myelin-Associated Glycoprotein Neuropathy Detected by Brachial Plexus Magnetic Resonance Neurography
Conclusions: Nerve hypertrophy appears in the proximal portion of peripheral nerves, such as the brachial plexus, in patients with anti-MAG neuropathy. Altered diffusion in the nerve roots might be associated with the loss of myelin integrity due to the demyelination process in anti-MAG neuropathy.Eur Neurol (Source: European Neurology)

Noninvasive Brain Stimulation for Poststroke Dysphagia: A Meta-Analysis for Randomized Controlled Trials
Conclusions: The study demonstrates that rTMS and tDCS over the pharyngeal motor cortex show therapy effects on poststroke dysphagia. Many more large-scale, blinded RCTs are essential to investigate the effect of rTMS and tDCS on poststroke dysphagia.Eur Neurol (Source: European Neurology)

Lower Cranial Nerve Palsies in the COVID-19 Pandemic: A 10-Case Series of Intensive Care Unit Patients
Conclusion: The mechanical compressive hypothesis, linked to the prone-position ventilation therapy, appears to be the major factor. The direct toxicity of SARS-CoV-2 and the context of immune dysfunction induced by the virus may be involved in a multifactorial etiology.Eur Neurol (Source: European Neurology)

D ésiré Bourneville: A Socialist in Charcot’s Inner Circle
D ésiré Bourneville was one of Jean-Martin Charcot’s most important disciples. His previous works as an alienist allowed him to influence his master’s interest in hysteria, which led to the creation of a service regarded as a neurological mecca. During his time under Charcot, Bourneville, a pass ionate left-wing radical, had to coexist with characters representative of the conservative, bourgeois Parisian society. The aim of this study is to describe Bourneville ’s life and work, as well as the ambiguity of a progressive man such as him, immersed within the economic and cultural elites.Eur Neurol (Source: European Neurology)
