Regress with Progress: Look for Shrinkage after B/F-EVAR with the Eye of Artificial Intelligence
In this issue, Rastogi et  al. present the short and long term outcomes of fenestrated (F) and branched (B) endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) and their association with sac dynamics over time.1 As they previously demonstrated for infrarenal EVAR,2 sac regression appears to protect against all cause mortality and graft rel ated complications in 165 patients undergoing complex aortic repair. Can We – And Should We – Offer Certification for Basic Skills in Endovascular Aneurysm Repair?
Skov et  al.1 present a prospective cohort study examining a newly developed, modular, simulation based course in endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) entitled ENHANCE-EVAR. A total of 24 participants were enrolled over a 12 month period. The EndoVascular Aortic Repair Assessment of Technical Expertise (EVA RATE) score was used as the assessment tool for the first time for real time rating of participants and was shown to be of utility in this setting. A defined pass mark was set, on the basis of which 22 of the 24 participants passed, with a significant improvement in the mean EVARATE score resulting from the course. (Sou...

Supervised Exercise Therapy for Intermittent Claudication: A Propensity Score Matched Analysis of Retrospective Data on Long Term Cardiovascular Outcomes
This study aimed to explore the long term outcomes of patients with intermittent claudication (IC) who completed supervised exercise therapy (SET) vs. those who declined or prematurely discontinued SET, focusing on the incidence of chronic limb threatening ischaemia (CLTI), revascularisation, major adverse limb events (MALE), and major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE).
