Immunotherapy-associated symptoms, distress, financial toxicity and unmet supportive care needs of patients with cancer
To examine the unmet care needs (i.e., overall needs and need subdomains [physical and daily living needs, psychological and emotional needs, care and support needs, and health-system and informational needs]) of patients with cancer undergoing immunotherapy alone or in combination with other anticancer therapies, as well as related influencing factors. Brain connectomics improve prediction of 1-year decreased quality of life in breast cancer: A multi-voxel pattern analysis
Whether brain connectomics can predict 1-year decreased Quality of Life (QoL) in patients with breast cancer are unclear. A longitudinal study was utilized to explore their prediction abilities with a multi-center sample. (Source: European Journal of Oncology Nursing)

Gender differences in the predictors of quality of life in patients with cancer: A cross sectional study
CONCLUSION: The results of the present study indicate that it is imperative to take gender differences into consideration when planning psychosocial interventions also focusing on strengths, resources, and coping strategies. Considering the consistently emerging importance of family support in patients' quality of life, offering psychological interventions to caregivers/family members seems warranted to empower them to provide support to patients throughout the illness trajectory.PMID:38134495 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejon.2023.102492 (Source: European Journal of Oncology Nursing)

The association between inflammation-related biomarkers and the subtypes of cancer-related cognitive impairment in colorectal cancer patients: A latent profile analysis
CONCLUSIONS: Colorectal cancer patients exhibited divergent cognitive performance profiles, categorized into two subgroups based on LPA. SIRI and ALI were identified as independent factors for CRCI, demonstrating strong diagnostic accuracy. These two inflammation-related biomarkers may potentially be novel indicators to identify and manage the development of CRCI among colorectal cancer patients.PMID:38134496 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejon.2023.102493 (Source: European Journal of Oncology Nursing)

Subgroups of sleep quality and associated risk factors in patients with cancer undergoing radiotherapy: A cross-sectional study based on latent profile analysis
CONCLUSIONS: Our study revealed the heterogeneity of sleep quality in patients with cancer undergoing radiotherapy; moreover, through our findings, targeted interventions may be developed to promote the sleep quality of these patients.PMID:38134497 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejon.2023.102488 (Source: European Journal of Oncology Nursing)
