Altered Ataxia-Telangiectasia Mutated Gene as a cause of endometriosis-associated ovarian clear cell carcinoma, novel pathogenic variant
Endometriosis is a disease characterized by ectopic localization of the endometrial gland and stroma, most commonly seen in the ovary, an estrogen-dependent disease. Some cancer driver genes were mutated in 26% of endometriotic lesions. Ovarian clear cell carcinoma accounts for approximately 40-50% of endometriosis-associated ovarian cancers. It is often seen in the perimenopausal period between 40 and 50. Genetic mutations in the etiopathogenesis of clear cell carcinoma have been seen as a prominent cause in recent years. Use of diode laser in hysterotomy during open fetal surgery for myelomeningocele - a case report
Introduction: Myelomeningocele (MMC) is a severe congenital defect of the central nervous system. In 90% of cases, it is associated with Chiari malformation type II (CMTII), hydrocephalus and other symptoms. Intrauterine myelomeningocele repair (IUMR) has a proven neuroprotective effect, but is also associated with chorioamniotic separation (CAS), premature rupture of fetal membranes (PPROM) and prematurity, which worsen perinatal outcomes. These complications remain related to the hysterotomy site. (Source: European Journal of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology)

Implementation of robotic ups (unilateral pectineal suspension) for the correction of apical prolapse in a high volume laparoscopy center
Introduction and aims: Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) is a common disorder. Conservative treatment can be addressed; if unsuccessful, surgery is indicated. Surgical treatments such as vaginal hysterectomy (with anterior and posterior repair), sacrospinous fixation and laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy are broadly used as standard surgical procedures. Performing a hysterectomy does not increase the success rate. In addition, the use of synthetic meshes is under debate because of possible postoperative complications.
