Neuroprotective effects of quinpirole on lithium chloride pilocarpine-induced epilepsy in rats and its underlying mechanisms
ConclusionThe current study demonstrated that quinpirole exerted neuroprotective effects in the epileptic rat model induced by lithium chloride pilocarpine. Additionally, it was found that the treatment not only alleviated the rats' seizure symptoms, but also improved their learning and memory abilities. This improvement was linked to the modulation of protein expression levels of GLUR2, BAX, and BCL2. These findings provided clues that would be important for further investigation of the therapeutic potential of quinpirole and its underlying mechanisms for epilepsy treatment. Orthodontic camouflage treatment for a patient with bilateral cleft lip and palate, bilateral crossbite, and microdontic maxillary lateral incisors
This article reports the successful treatment of a patient with bilateral cleft lip and palate, Class III malocclusion, bilateral crossbite, crowding and microdontic maxillary lateral incisors. One mandible incisor was extracted, and three miniscrew anchorages were utilized to distalize the maxillary left dental arch and retract the mandibular arch. Bronchiectasis in renal transplant patients: a cross-sectional study
ConclusionClinical, functional, thoracic CT scan, and microbiological characteristics of bronchiectasis are overall similar in patients with IB and RT-B. These results highlight that in RT patients, chronic respiratory symptoms and/or airway infections should lead to consider the diagnosis of bronchiectasis.
