Effect of paced heart rate on quality of life and natriuretic peptides for stage B or C heart failure with preserved ejection fraction: A secondary analysis of the myPACE trial
ConclusionsIn the post-hoc analysis of the myPACE trial, we observed that the benefits of a personalized accelerated backup pacing on MLHFQ score, NT-proBNP, and pacemaker-detected activity levels appear to be more pronounced in patients with smaller iLVEDV and higher LVEF. Impact of anaemia and iron deficiency on outcomes in cardiogenic shock complicating acute myocardial infarction
ConclusionConcomitant anaemia without ID presence in patients with CS at hospital presentation is associated with higher risk for death from any cause or renal replacement therapy and the individual components of this composite endpoint within 30  days after hospitalization. ID has no relevant impact on clinical outcomes in patients with CS. (Source: European Journal of Heart Failure)

Impact of Clinical Phenogroup Diversity and Multiplicity: Impact on Mechanisms of Exercise Intolerance in Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction
ConclusionsThough cardiac output response to exercise is limited in patients with HFpEF compared to those with non-cardiac dyspnea, the relative contributions of cardiac and peripheral limitations vary with differing numbers and types of clinical phenotypic traits present. Patients fulfilling criteria for greater multiplicity and diversity of HFpEF phenogroup traits have poorer exercise capacity, worsening hemodynamic perturbations, and greater risk for adverse outcome. This article is protected by copyright. Exercise catheterization in adults post ‐Fontan with normal and abnormal hemodynamic criteria: insights into normal Fontan physiology
ConclusionPAWP>20  mmHg and mean PA pressure >  25 mmHg could be used to define elevated values during exercise in adults post-Fontan. The major discrepancy in exercise hemodynamics among Group II compared to controls appears to be the degree of systemic venous hypertension and arterial desaturation. This article is protected by copyright.
