Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTPanax ginseng is one of the most important remedies in ancient Eastern medicine. In the modern Western world, its reputation started to grow towards the end of the XIX century, but the rather approximate understanding of action mechanisms did not provide sufficient information for an appropriate use. Nowadays, Panax ginseng is frequently used in some pathological conditions, but the comprehension of its potential beneficial effects is still incomplete. The purpose of this study is to highlight the ...

Identification of PDGFA as a Neutrophil-related Biomarker Linked to the Advancement of Diabetic Retinopathy through Integrated Bioinformatics Analysis
CONCLUSION: The involvement of neutrophils in the development and progression of DR is suggested. PDGFA has emerged as a potential marker and is linked to the infiltration of immune cells in DR. These findings shed new light on the underlying mechanisms of DR.PMID:38504565 | DOI:10.2174/0118715303279463240220050158 (Source: Endocrine, Metabolic and Immune Disorders Drug Targets)

A Multi-dimensional Data Mining-based Study on the Prescriptions Developed by Professor Xu Zhiyin in Treating Thyroid Nodules
Conclusion: The fundamental prescriptions were acquired using the frequency approach, association rule technique, k-means clustering approach, and systematic clustering approach. The research findings corroborate one another, demonstrating that Professor Xu Zhiyin's approach to distinguishing and treating thyroid nodules is embodied in distinct prescriptions tailored to specific diseases.PMID:38487885 | DOI:10.2174/0118715303258346231101190843 (Source: Endocrine, Metabolic and Immune Disorders Drug Targets)
