MiR-29b Alleviates High Glucose-induced Inflammation and Apoptosis in Podocytes by Down-regulating PRKAB2
CONCLUSION: MiR-29b plays a role in inhibiting inflammation and apoptosis in high glucose (HG) treated podocytes by negatively regulating PRKAB2 expression. This study provides new potential targets and ideas for the treatment of diabetic nephropathy.PMID:38204237 | DOI:10.2174/0118715303267375231204103200 (Source: Endocrine, Metabolic and Immune Disorders Drug Targets)

Is Kidney Stone Associated with Thyroid Disease? The United States National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2007-2018
CONCLUSIONS: In this large nationally representative survey over 10 years, kidney stone was strongly associated with thyroid disease. In this cross-sectional study, we explored the association between thyroid disease and kidney stones, which may help clinicians intervene in them early.PMID:38204238 | DOI:10.2174/0118715303268738231129093935 (Source: Endocrine, Metabolic and Immune Disorders Drug Targets)

Differential Gene Expression and Immune Cell Infiltration in Patients with Steroid-induced Necrosis of the Femoral Head
CONCLUSION: EP300, TRAF6, STAT1, JAK1, CASP8, and JAK2 have exhibited significant differences in SANFH (spontaneous osteonecrosis of the femoral head). Memory B cells, activated dendritic cells, M1 macrophages, monocytes, and neutrophils have shown abnormal expression in SANFH.PMID:38204239 | DOI:10.2174/0118715303266951231206114153 (Source: Endocrine, Metabolic and Immune Disorders Drug Targets)

Investigation of The Effect of Metal-based Medicine Arsenicum album on Humoral Immune Response in SRBC-immunized Mice
CONCLUSION: The results of this preliminary study indicate that oral administration of Arsenicum album has the potential to augment primary humoral response at all dilutions. Hence, the possibility of using the Arsenicum album could be explored to treat immunological conditions, infections, etc., as an alternative therapy alongwith modern medicines.PMID:38192149 | DOI:10.2174/0118715303273277231125150713 (Source: Endocrine, Metabolic and Immune Disorders Drug Targets)

Sufficiency of a Single Negative Thyroglobulin Standard for Judging the Success of Ablation in Low- and Intermediate-risk Differentiated Thyroid Cancer: A Retrospective Study
CONCLUSION: Even in low- and intermediate-risk patients with DTC, a single negative Tg standard also requires receiving some restrictions in the evaluation of ablation success and is inadequate. Conventional 99mTcO4 thyroid imaging combined with a quantitative analysis program can improve the clinical practice of single negative Tg standard.PMID:38192150 | DOI:10.2174/0118715303267441231128064729 (Source: Endocrine, Metabolic and Immune Disorders Drug Targets)
