SVS/AAVS Grading for Pulmonary Status and Contemporary Outcomes of Elective Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair
Introduction: Pulmonary disease, in particular chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), is a known risk factor for increased postoperative morbidity and mortality. SVS/AAVS has proposed a grading system for pulmonary status including symptoms, radiographic changes, and pulmonary function tests. Our aim was to report how these grades influence outcomes after endovascular aortic aneurysm repair. (Source: EJVES Extra)

Inverted T Bypass: A Promising Aolution for Infrapopliteal Revascularization without an Adequate Vein Graft
Introduction: Peripheral arterial disease has become a significant worldwide healthcare concern, with chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI) being its most severe presentation. In recent years, endovascular strategies evolved and became the preferred method for arterial revascularization. However, infrapopliteal (IP) disease remains a therapeutic challenge to any surgeon, especially in patients with complex patterns lacking an autologous vein graft or after unsuccessful endovascular therapy. Reducing Vascular Access Flow: A Comparative Study of Banding and Plication Outcomes
Introduction: Both high-flow vascular access (HFVA) and vascular access induced limb ischemia (VAILI) are serious complications that may be treated with flow reduction technique. Different techniques are reported in the literature (1,2); our center ’s preferred approaches are banding and plication under ultrasound flow control, as they allow for a precise mini-invasive approach to the peri-anastomotic venous tract alone. Our results for banding are better than the average reported and we ought to fulfill the gap in the literature to compare it with plication (3). (Source: EJVES Extra)

Single-Branch Endovascular Aortic Repair Procedure for an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm in a Patient With Horseshoe Kidney: A Case Report
Horseshoe kidney (HK) is an anatomical variant characterised by abnormalities in the position, rotation, and vascular supply of the kidney, with functioning renal masses on both sides of the vertebral column fused together at the isthmus. Due to the altered pattern of kidney vascularisation, endovascular aortic repair for aortic abdominal aneurysm (AAA) in the presence of HK requires vascular anatomy specific planning. Validity of Ultrasound for the Diagnostics of Arterial Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) is a rare disorder mostly seen in younger individuals. Although patients ’ wellbeing is relevantly impaired, it often takes a long time before the diagnosis is made. Digital subtraction angiography (DSA) is routinely used despite its radiation exposure, which is a major concern in this young patient population. Moreover, DSA offers limited opportunities for functional assessment. In contrast, ultrasonography is widely accessible without causing radiation exposure and allows for flexible functional assessment. (Source: EJVES Extra)

Surgical Treatment of Multiple Venous and Arterial Aneurysms Due to Arteriovenous Malformations of the Arm
Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, especially in elderly patients. Occasionally, AVMs can produce aneurysm degenerations, which can lead to bleeding or rupture. The aim of this case report is to communicate the surgical treatment of large arterial and venous aneurysms in the arm associated with an AVM. (Source: EJVES Extra)

Infected Thrombosed Popliteal Artery Aneurysm with Cutaneous Fistula
Popliteal artery aneurysms (PAAs) pose some challenges in their surgical management and are often treated through exclusion and bypass procedures. However, post-operative complications, such as endoleaks and sac growth, can occur, potentially leading to serious consequences. Endoleaks, characterised by persistent flow within the aneurysm sac after repair, can cause sac expansion, increasing the risk of adverse outcomes, including the formation of cutaneous fistulae, a rare but potentially severe complication. A Tubulised Vena Cava Conduit Used To Lengthen a Kidney Transplant Renal Artery Injured During Organ Procurement
Organ transplantation is limited by the supply of transplantable organs, and the supply of organs cannot meet the need of patients on the waiting list. Ensuring transplantation of any procured organ is therefore mandatory. Organ injury, mostly on the organ vasculature, can occur during multi-organ procurement, no longer allowing subsequent transplantation. In such a context, vascular reconstructions of arterial or venous organ injuries can be useful. (Source: EJVES Extra)
