Follow-up results of BI-RADS 3 lesions on magnetic resonance imaging: a retrospective study
CONCLUSION: The malignancy rate in BI-RADS 3 lesions detected by MRI is low and falls within the accepted cancer rate for MG and sonography. Changes in size, morphology, and enhancement pattern should be considered in terms of malignancy development during follow-up. The follow-up intervals should be determined on a case-by-case basis.PMID:38293846 | DOI:10.4274/dir.2023.232393 (Source: Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology : The Turkish Society of Radiology)

Correlation between computed tomography-based body composition parameters and hepatic venous pressure gradient in patients with cirrhosis: a systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSION: No sufficient evidence regarding a correlation between the CT-based body composition and HVPG value was discovered. The difference in the HVPG value between the sarcopenia and non-sarcopenia groups was likely dependent on the sarcopenic cut-off value.PMID:38293897 | DOI:10.4274/dir.2023.232553 (Source: Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology : The Turkish Society of Radiology)

Head-to-head comparison of < sup > 18 < /sup > F-FDG PET/CT and < sup > 18 < /sup > F-FDG PET/MRI for lymph node metastasis staging in non-small cell lung cancer: a meta-analysis
CONCLUSION: 18F-FDG PET/CT and 18F-FDG PET/MRI have similar diagnostic performance in detecting lymph node metastasis in NSCLC. However, the results of this study were from a small sample study, and further studies with larger sample sizes are needed.PMID:38291975 | DOI:10.4274/dir.2023.232280 (Source: Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology : The Turkish Society of Radiology)

Survival prediction using apparent diffusion coefficient values in recurrent glioblastoma under bevacizumab treatment: an updated systematic review and meta-analysis
Diagn Interv Radiol. 2024 Jan 31. doi: 10.4274/dir.2024.232550. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTBevacizumab is a common strategy for the treatment of recurrent glioblastoma. Survival status is a crucial issue for patients with recurrent glioblastoma, and the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values of the lower Gaussian curve have been reported to have the potential to predict prognosis in recurrent glioblastoma. In the present study, we aimed to clarify the survival prediction of ADC values in patients with recurrent glioblastoma receiving bevacizumab treatment through a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized ...

Pre-procedure < sup > 18 < /sup > F-FDG PET/CT imaging improves the performance of CT-guided transthoracic biopsy
CONCLUSION: A biopsy guided by CT plus pre-procedure 18F-FDG PET/CT (PETCTLB) is a safe procedure that can provide a precise diagnosis in the majority of lung nodules/masses. It has better diagnostic performance than CTLB.PMID:38293844 | DOI:10.4274/dir.2023.232364 (Source: Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology : The Turkish Society of Radiology)

Experimental study of a canine model for a newly designed adjustable prefenestration aortic stent graft
CONCLUSION: Based on the results of this study, we judge the safety and feasibility of the use of the newly designed adjustable prefenestration aortic stent graft in a fenestrated-TEVAR canine model to be acceptable. Our preliminary data may provide a first reference for evaluating the new stent's potential use in humans.PMID:38293845 | DOI:10.4274/dir.2023.232440 (Source: Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology : The Turkish Society of Radiology)

Effect of lipiodol marking before CT-guided cryoablation on the outcome of sporadic renal cell carcinoma
CONCLUSION: Lipiodol marking before CT-guided cryoablation for sporadic RCC is a feasible approach to improving local control and RFS while mitigating the decline in renal function.
