Carnosine-based reversal of diabetes-associated cognitive decline via activation of the Akt/mTOR pathway and modulation of autophagy in a rat model of type 2 diabetes mellitus
Conclusion: I ndependent of any hyperglycemic effect, carnosine may improve mild cognitive impairments by mitigating oxidative stress, activating the Akt/mTOR pathway, and modulating autophagy in the hippocampus of type 2 diabetic rats. (Source: Dementia and Geriatric Cognitive Disorders)

Carnosine-based reversal of diabetes-associated cognitive decline via activation of the Akt/mTOR pathway and modulation of autophagy in a rat model of type 2 diabetes mellitus
CONCLUSION: Independent of any hyperglycemic effect, carnosine may improve mild cognitive impairments by mitigating oxidative stress, activating the Akt/mTOR pathway, and modulating autophagy in the hippocampus of type 2 diabetic rats.PMID:37075707 | DOI:10.1159/000530605 (Source: Dementia and Geriatric Cognitive Disorders)
