Antitumor Effects of Curcumin on Cervical Cancer with the Focus on Molecular Mechanisms: An Exegesis
Curr Pharm Des. 2023 Dec 8. doi: 10.2174/0113816128279330231129180250. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTCervical cancer is one of the most prevalent malignancies among females and is correlated with a significant fatality rate. Chemotherapy is the most common treatment for cervical cancer; however, it has a low success rate due to significant side effects and the incidence of chemo-resistance. Curcumin, a polyphenolic natural compound derived from turmeric, acts as an antioxidant by diffusing across cell membranes into the endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria, and nucleus, where it performs its effects. As a result, it's been ...

Synthetic 1,2,4-triazole-3-Carboxamides Induce Cell Cycle Arrest and Apoptosis in Leukemia Cells
CONCLUSION: These results implied that the 1,2,4-triazole-3-carboxamide derivatives exhibited their antiproliferative activities by induction of cell cycle arrest. Consequently, 5-(tetrahydropyran-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole-3-carboxamide and 1-(tetrahydrofuran-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazol-3-carboxamide may present antimetabolites with potential anticancer efficacy.PMID:38083885 | DOI:10.2174/0113816128275084231202153602 (Source: Current Pharmaceutical Design)
