Surgeons' attitudes toward mechanical bowel preparation in the 21st century: A survey of the Caribbean College of Surgeons
ConclusionsIt was disappointing that (1) 50% of surgeons used MBP inappropriately for irrational reasons or incorrect indications and (2) despite the knowledge of robust level I evidence not in support of MBP, a further 77% ignored the evidence and still routinely used MBP, citing “individual preference”.
