Multimodality Imaging of Common Breast Cancers
The most common types of primary breast malignancies (invasive ductal carcinoma, invasive lobular carcinoma, and ductal carcinoma in situ) each typically demonstrate unique imaging features. Given the increasing importance of diagnosing breast cancers as early as possible to ensure prompt treatment and improved patient outcomes, it is critical for radiologists to readily recognize these characteristics on multimodality imaging. Radiologic Manifestations of Recreational Drug Abuse
Recreational drug abuse (RDA) is a commonly encountered clinical problem that, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has resulted in a continuous steady increase in usage, morbidity, and mortality over the last two decades. The clinical picture of RDA is often opaque due to its extensive range of clinical presentation. As the problem becomes more widespread and many patients withhold a history of RDA, the radiologist frequently is first to note and suggest the possibility of RDA. Familiarity with the radiologic manifestations of RDA is critical to provide accurate diagnosis with a succinct diff...

PET/CT Demonstration of Lymphatic Spread of Malignant Pelvic Neoplasms
This article reviews the anatomy and nomenclature of the pelvic lymph node stations and describes the pathways of nodal spread of primary pelvic genitourinary malignancies: prostate, bladder, testicular, penile, vulvar, ovarian, endometrial, and cervical cancers. Furthermore, this article discusses the utility of 18-fluoro-2-deoxyglucose positron emission tomography/CT (18F-FDG-PET/CT) in assessing the nodal spread of each of these malignancies for both staging and follow-up. What the Radiologist Needs to Know About Biceps Tenodesis: Normal Postprocedure Imaging Appearance and Complications
Proximal long head biceps tendon (LHBT) pathology is a common and well-recognized cause of anterior shoulder pain.1–4 Various surgical procedures have been developed to address LHBT pathology. Postoperative imaging can be confusing if the radiologist is not aware of the various surgical techniques. An astute radiologist may be the first to identify a postoperative complication. An understanding of the LHBT anatomy, surgical indications, surgical procedures, and both normal and abnormal postoperative imaging appearance will enhance the radiologist's accuracy in imaging interpretation and interactions with referring provid...

Imaging of the Ribs: From A to BX
The ribs are evaluated by radiologists of all subspecialties. A recent informal review of intradepartmental consults by the musculoskeletal radiology section at our institution revealed that approximately 20% of all queries involved the ribs. To educate radiologists further, an organized review of the rib in medical imaging was performed. The aims of this article are to expose radiologists to important clinical conditions in which the rib can be involved and to provide essential information to guide diagnosis and management. In the event that biopsy is indicated, we characterize three types of lesions and provide technique...
