Reliability and validity of the medial standing overhead arm reach (SOAR) test as a measure of functional hip adduction motion
CONCLUSIONS: Similar to the previously reported Posterior SOAR test, the Medial SOAR test demonstrated acceptable intrarater and interrater reliability, along with low-to-moderate associations with three-dimensional motion capture. The Medial SOAR test has the potential to provide a reliable and accurate assessment of closed chain hip adduction.PMID:38444212 | DOI:10.1177/02692155241236600 (Source: Clinical Rehabilitation)

The psychometric properties of the Six-Spot Step Test - a systematic review using the COSMIN guidelines
CONCLUSION: Apart from responsiveness, robust evidence supports the reliability and validity of the Six-Spot Step Test for assessing dynamic balance in a specific group of individuals with neurological diseases and older adults. Further, it is considered feasible for clinical use.PMID:38425190 | DOI:10.1177/02692155241236609 (Source: Clinical Rehabilitation)

Transcranial direct current stimulation for upper extremity motor dysfunction in poststroke patients: A systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest that both anodal and cathodal stimulation were significantly effective in subacute stroke patients, particularly when preceding other treatments and when C3/C4 is targeted.PMID:38425282 | DOI:10.1177/02692155241235336 (Source: Clinical Rehabilitation)

Development of a Job Retention Vocational Rehabilitation Intervention for People with Multiple Sclerosis Following the Person-Based Approach
CONCLUSION: The person-based approach provided a rigorous framework to systematically understand the vocational needs of people with multiple sclerosis and develop a vocational rehabilitation intervention.PMID:38418389 | DOI:10.1177/02692155241235956 (Source: Clinical Rehabilitation)

'If he thought that I was going to go and hurt myself, he had another thing coming': Treatment experiences of those with large to massive rotator cuff tears and the perspectives of healthcare practitioners
CONCLUSIONS: The findings suggest discordance exists between the patient's experiences and expectations when the delivery of care was by less experienced and confident healthcare practitioners in the management of this condition. This highlights the need for improved education and support for healthcare practitioners.PMID:38418399 | DOI:10.1177/02692155241235338 (Source: Clinical Rehabilitation)

Access to inpatient mood management services after stroke in Australian acute and rehabilitation hospitals
CONCLUSIONS: Adherence to mood management recommendations has improved over 10 years within Australian hospitals. Those aged over 65, requiring an interpreter, or with shorter hospital stays are at risk of missing out on appropriate mood management.PMID:38385341 | DOI:10.1177/02692155241232990 (Source: Clinical Rehabilitation)
