Exploring attitudes of people with chronic health conditions towards the use of group-based telerehabilitation: A qualitative study
CONCLUSIONS: Telerehabilitation is convenient for people with chronic conditions; however, concerns exist regarding the use of technology and the limitations of this healthcare delivery method. The role of telerehabilitation is valued, and future programmes should acknowledge patient preferences including a hybrid model of care, exercise and educational content, social interaction and synchronous components.PMID:37632125 | DOI:10.1177/02692155231197385 (Source: Clinical Rehabilitation)

The McKenzie Method versus guideline-based advice in the treatment of sciatica: 24-month outcomes of a randomised clinical trial
CONCLUSIONS: Multiple sessions of McKenzie-based back exercises with a McKenzie-specific patient's educational book produced effects equal to guideline-based advice at long-term follow-up. However, the power of these results is diminished due to the small patient population and confounding factors.PMID:37605454 | DOI:10.1177/02692155231196393 (Source: Clinical Rehabilitation)

The short- and long-term effects of lower limb endurance training on outpatients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
CONCLUSIONS: The lower-limb endurance training improved perceived dyspnea in daily activity and health status after completion of training and sustaining for a year. The lower-limb endurance training alleviated disease impacted on reduced acute exacerbations.PMID:37574917 | DOI:10.1177/02692155231192453 (Source: Clinical Rehabilitation)

Effectiveness of self-management interventions during the peri-hospitalization period in patients with stroke: A systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSION: Most of the studies reviewed suggest that self-management interventions had an impact on dependency, quality of life and self-efficacy when compared with usual care, written materials about stroke, or post-discharge rehabilitation recommended by a physician. However, the evidence in this review neither supports nor refutes self-management interventions used in addition to usual care, or other interventions, to improve dependency, quality of life and/or self-efficacy in patients' post-stroke.PMID:37551095 | DOI:10.1177/02692155231193563 (Source: Clinical Rehabilitation)
