Letter to the Editor: radiomics-based distinction of small ( ≤ 2 cm) hepatocellular carcinoma and precancerous lesions based on unenhanced magnetic imaging resonance
In this study, 114 cases of hepatic nodules confirmed by histopathology were retrospectively analyzed. The support vector machine (SVM) machine learning model was used to cl assify and identify small Hepatocellular carcinoma (S-HCC, ≤2cm) and pre-HCC. The area under curve (AUC) values of the T1, FS-T2, and T1 + FS-T2 fusion models in the test set were 0.852, 0.903, and 0.921, respectively. (Source: Clinical Radiology)

Making an accurate diagnosis of anterior mediastinal lesions: A proposal for a new diagnostic algorithm from the BTOG Thymic Interest Group
Due to rising demand in cross-sectional thoracic imaging, anterior mediastinal lesions are being identified with increasing frequency. Following iterative and multidisciplinary discussions, the [##########] have developed an algorithm to standardise the diagnostic approach for these relatively uncommon but important conditions which span from benign (thymic remnant, thymic hyperplasia and thymic cysts) to low grade suspected localised malignancy (thymomas) to high grade suspected more aggressive malignancy (thymic carcinoma, lymphoma and germ cell tumours).
