CT (neuro)angiography protocols for ischaemic and haemorrhagic strokes: a regional evaluation and technical note from a tertiary neuroscience centre
Computed Tomography (Neuro)angiography (CTA) demands optimal opacification of the relevant arterial anatomy, without venous contamination and excludes irrelevant anatomy. Our neuroscience centre gets such patients referred from 10 peripheral Trusts in the region. The interventional neuroradiologists reviewing scans from these hospitals often note inhomogeneities in image quality across the region, at times being of suboptimal diagnostic value. We aimed to identify differences in imaging parameters and discrepancies in the expected FOV acquisition, which may explain variations in image quality. (Source: Clinical Radiology)

Diffusion-Weighted Imaging of the Orbit
Orbital lesions compose a heterogeneous group of pathologies that often present with nonspecific imaging findings on conventional MRI sequences (T1-and T2-weighted). Accordingly, the application of diffusion MR imaging offers an opportunity to further distinguish between lesions along this spectrum. Diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) represents the simplest and most frequent clinically utilized diffusion imaging technique. Recent advances in DWI techniques have extended its application to the evaluation of a wider spectrum of neurological pathology, including orbital lesions. (Source: Clinical Radiology)
