Cross-sectional review of US websites providing lung cancer screening recommendations following the 2021 US Preventive Services Task Force updates
Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer death worldwide and an urgent public health priority. Early detection by low-dose CT (LDCT) screening and treatment of lung cancer has been shown to reduce mortality but uptake remains dismal, particularly among historically underserved groups. Following the US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) expansion of its eligibility criteria to address inequities in utilization, efforts are needed to ensure dissemination of updated health information through digital means such as websites. Intracranial vessel wall magnetic resonance imaging features of infectious vasculitis
Vasculitis is a complication of several infectious diseases affecting the central nervous system, which may result in ischemic and/or hemorrhagic stroke, transient ischemic attack, and aneurysm formation. The infectious agent may directly infect the endothelium, causing vasculitis, or indirectly affect the vessel wall through an immunological mechanism. The clinical manifestations of these complications usually overlap with those of non-infectious vascular diseases, making diagnosis challenging. (Source: Clinical Imaging)

A review of quantitative diffusion-weighted MR imaging for breast cancer: Towards noninvasive biomarker
Quantitative diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) is an important adjunct to conventional breast MRI and shows promise as a noninvasive biomarker of breast cancer in multiple clinical scenarios, from the discrimination of benign and malignant lesions, prediction, and evaluation of treatment response to a prognostic assessment of breast cancer. Various quantitative parameters are derived from different DWI models based on special prior knowledge and assumptions, have different meanings, and are easy to confuse. (Source: Clinical Imaging)

Correlation of spinal epidural fat volume with body mass index: a longitudinal study
Spinal epidural lipomatosis is abnormal accumulation of normal fat in the epidural space with weight loss suggested as first-line therapy in select symptomatic patients. However, moderate to large longitudinal studies establishing concordant changes between body mass index and epidural fat are lacking. The purpose of this study was to longitudinally assess this relationship. (Source: Clinical Imaging)

Increased signal of the fibular collateral ligament of the knee on MRI, clinically significant?
This study is unique in that it characterizes the FCL of a comprehensive, large cohort of both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients, which to our knowledge represents the first study with such broad inclusion criteria. (Source: Clinical Imaging)

Reflections on radiology education: Keeping up with the future
The youngest first-year resident in our program this year was born in 1999, making them part of a growing percentage of DR and IR resident members of Generation Z. As educators, it is important for us to appreciate that our newest residents may have different worldviews, expectations, and attitudes than prior generations. Furthermore, the profession they have chosen to enter has also changed. In the years since the beginning of Gen Z in 1995, Radiology has experienced significant changes, including the rise of hybrid technology, theranostics, and artificial intelligence. A new method for predicting the prognosis of ischemic stroke based vascular structure features and lesion location features
Determining the changes in the prognosis of the cerebral infarction area has an important guiding role in the selection of the treatment plan. The goal of this study is to propose a machine learning-based method that can predict the prognosis of stroke effectively and efficiently. (Source: Clinical Imaging)

The role of the radiologist in patient care following Dobbs v. Jackson
After the landmark decision legalizing abortion in 1973, the number of legal abortions increased to almost 1.6 million in 1980 and the number of illegal abortions gradually declined. As Cates et al. note, the legalization of abortions led to safer procedures, fewer serious complications, and abortion related deaths fell from 40 per million in 1973 to 8 in 1976. Mortality due to legal abortions fell as well from>3 per 100,000 in 1975 to 1 in 1976. Morbidity and mortality were reduced because legal abortions are substantially safer than illegally induced abortions. (Source: Clinical Imaging)
