Male ‐to‐female and female‐to‐male transsexual siblings with pedophilic father: A case report
Key Clinical MessageThe reported case was the fourth instance of MF-FM transsexual non-twin siblings, and their father had pedophilia. Further studies are needed to evaluate whether there is a genetic link between gender dysphoria (GD) and pedophilic disorder.AbstractGender dysphoria (GD) refers to a persistent incongruence between a person's experienced gender and assigned gender, causing discomfort or distress. Experimental study on dimensional variations of 3D printed dental models based on printing orientation
Key Clinical MessageThis research investigates the trueness and precision of 3D printing technology in dental applications, specifically focusing on dimensional variations observed in models printed at different angles. The methodology involved importing a dental model into slicing software, adjusting its orientation, and implementing support structures for stability. Subsequently, the model underwent 3D printing five times for each orientation using appropriate equipment and underwent post-processing steps, including cleaning, washing, and UV-light post-curing. The printed models were then scanned using a specialized desk...

Gestational macromastia complicating pregnancy: A case report of unusual bilateral giant breasts in a patient who had no such problem in her previous pregnancies
We present a case of a 28-year-old G3P2L2 with a gestational age of 29  weeks complaining of massive bilateral breast enlargement for 6 months, accompanied by a threatened abortion. The masses began gradually after conception and increased gradually over time. Notably, the breasts had been unremarkable in her two previous pregnancies. The breast ultrasonography and mammography findings pointed to a benign neoplasm. Histopathology of the lesions reported bilateral ductal hyperplasia. Conservative management and close follow-up were initiated. A cesarean section was performed due to cord prolapse, and a 1.3 kg male bab...

Ultrasound and magnetic resonance image findings in a patient with a subungual abscess: A case report
We report a case of a 47-year-old male healthcare worker with a subungual abscess that improved after manual drainage alone. Ultrasound and magnetic resonance images showed a tumor (with blood flow) between the nail plate and distal phalanx. Culture tests revealedStaphylococcus aureus. The patient's symptoms resolved quickly and the nail returned to normal after 4  months. This is possibly the first report of a subungual abscess with ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging findings. (Source: Clinical Case Reports)

A 23 ‐year‐old patient with bilateral hypoplastic thumbs and toes: A case report
We report a 23-year-old Syrian male presented with a bilateral restriction in opposition movement when using a pen or razor. Clinical examination and x-ray imaging revealed a bilateral Type I hypoplastic thumb with bilateral minimal hypoplasia of the toes. Despite the surgical treatment options available, the patient opted not to undergo surgery due to his adaptation to his condition. Hypoplastic thu mb Type I is a congenital condition characterized by underdevelopment of the thumb. Bilateral thumb hypoplasia with toes hypoplasia is extremely rare. Paraganglioma at the cerebellopontine angle: A case report and review of literature
We report the case of a 42-year-old woman presenting with uncontrolled hypertension, right facial palsy, vomiting, and disturbed gait. Diagnosis for PGL was confirmed on postoperative histological examination of the excised mass and correlated with preoperative clinical and radiological findings. Tumor excision was done via a suboccipital craniotomy approach. Our case presents the typically severe features of a jugulotympanic PGL, but most importantly, it highlights the necessity of biochemical diagnosing, thorough probing of the causes of hypertension, and a multi-disciplinary approach in dealing with these tumors. Moreov...

Isolated perinephric abscess as the initial manifestation of filariasis —an unusual presentation
Graphical Abstract Key Clinical MessageFilariasis may present as an isolated perinephric abscess. Hence, a high index of suspicion should be maintained in endemic settings.AbstractIn cases with unexplained fever, eosinophilia and perinephric collection, it is necessary to do detailed infectious disease work up. High index of suspicion is required to diagnose filariasis due to its wide range of clinical presentation and laboratory findings. It may present as perinephric abscess, which can be diagnosed through ultrasonography. (Source: Clinical Case Reports)
