The Clinicopathological and Prognostic Significance of HER2-Low Breast Cancer: A Comparative Analysis Between HER2-Low and HER2-Zero Subtypes
CONCLUSION: HER2-low accounted for 70% of the cases and correlated with favorable biological markers. The HER2-low group had a significantly better OS than the HER2-0 group. However, the response to NAC was low in the HER2-low group, and this group had the poorest prognosis among all the non-pCR cases. These findings indicate that HER2-low may have a different biology and prognosis and therefore should be classified as a new entity.PMID:38472058 | DOI:10.1016/j.clbc.2024.02.013 (Source: Clinical Breast Cancer)

Tumor deposits in axillary adipose tissue in patients with breast cancer: Do they matter?
World J Clin Cases. 2024 Feb 26;12(6):1045-1049. doi: 10.12998/wjcc.v12.i6.1045.ABSTRACTTumor deposits (TDs) are defined as discrete, irregular clusters of tumor cells lying in the soft tissue adjacent to but separate from the primary tumor, and are usually found in the lymphatic drainage area of the primary tumor. By definition, no residual lymph node structure should be identified in these tumor masses. At present, TDs are mainly reported in colorectal cancer, with a few reports in gastric cancer. There are very few reports on breast cancer (BC). For TDs, current dominant theories suggest that these are the result of lym...

The influence of marital status at diagnosis on survival of adult patients with mantle cell lymphoma
CONCLUSION: Marital status at diagnosis is an independent prognostic factor for MCL patients, with widowed individuals showing worse OS and CSS than those who are married, single, or divorced/separated. Adequate psychological and social support for widowed patients is crucial for improving outcomes in this patient population.PMID:38466431 | PMC:PMC10927831 | DOI:10.1007/s00432-024-05647-z (Source: Clinical Breast Cancer)

Molecular probes targeting HER2 PET/CT and their application in advanced breast cancer
CONCLUSION: HER2-targeted PET/CT offers a promising noninvasive approach for real-time assessment of HER2 status, which can be guide targeted treatment for HER2-positive breast cancer patients. Future prospective clinical studies will be invaluable for fully evaluating the importance of HER2-targeted molecular imaging in the management of breast cancer.PMID:38466436 | PMC:PMC10927773 | DOI:10.1007/s00432-023-05519-y (Source: Clinical Breast Cancer)

PIK3CA mutation-driven immune signature as a prognostic marker for evaluating the tumor immune microenvironment and therapeutic response in breast cancer
CONCLUSION: The PDIS can be used as an effective prognostic model for predicting immunotherapy response to guide clinical decision-making.PMID:38466449 | PMC:PMC10927816 | DOI:10.1007/s00432-024-05626-4 (Source: Clinical Breast Cancer)
