Validation of Qualisex questionnaire to evaluate sexual dysfunction in women affected by fibromyalgia
CONCLUSIONS: This study validated Qualisex questionnaire as a good test for the sexual disorders' evaluation in FM women. Its use allows the assessment of different factors associated with sexual dysfunction, showing an impact of FM on sexuality. Moreover, due to demotivation feelings, sexual dysfunction contributes to worsen patients' quality of life.PMID:38607686 | DOI:10.55563/clinexprheumatol/a00yur (Source: Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology)

Autoantibodies in post-treatment Lyme disease and association with clinical symptoms
CONCLUSIONS: Several autoantibodies were found after Borrelia burgdorferi and SARS-CoV2 infection, although the prevalence was similar in those with persistent symptoms and those who returned to health. While our data show no difference in autoantibody prevalence across the four post-infectious states, we do not imply that autoantibodies are irrelevant in this setting. Rather, this study highlights the need for novel antibody discovery in larger cohorts of well-defined patient populations.PMID:38607687 | DOI:10.55563/clinexprheumatol/qcupkk (Source: Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology)

Association between Life's Essential 8 and all-cause or cardiovascular-specific mortality in patients with rheumatoid arthritis
CONCLUSIONS: CVH measured by the LE8 score is a robust and independent predictor of all-cause mortality among U.S. RA patients.PMID:38607691 | DOI:10.55563/clinexprheumatol/ppsp71 (Source: Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology)

Coronary artery calcification in Takayasu's arteritis: clinical characteristics and risk factors
CONCLUSIONS: We recommend CCTA screening for Numano V classified TAK patients. Glucocorticoid usage significantly escalates the risk of CAC. Therefore, in cases of effectively controlled disease, the inclusion of immunosuppressants aimed at reducing glucocorticoid dosage is advisable.PMID:38607693 | DOI:10.55563/clinexprheumatol/ypq2lj (Source: Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology)

Evaluation of common femoral vein thickness as a diagnostic tool for Beh çet's disease in a non-endemic area
CONCLUSIONS: In this study, CFVT measurement was not shown to be a reliable diagnostic test for BD. CFVT was increased in BD patients presenting vascular involvement and correlated with the number of previous events.PMID:38573067 | DOI:10.55563/clinexprheumatol/a56qqi (Source: Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology)

Use and perceptions of nutrition information resources in systemic sclerosis: a Scleroderma Patient-centred Intervention Network (SPIN) cohort study
CONCLUSIONS: Respondents used many different diet and nutrition information resources. They preferred resources from conventional health care providers, affiliated with credible institutions (e.g., SSc patient organisations), or with personal connections (e.g., SSc support groups). Future research should address the limited evidence base on nutrition in SSc and assess the quality of information provided by different information resources.PMID:38573100 | DOI:10.55563/clinexprheumatol/dt5hae (Source: Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology)
