Findings of Intravenous Gadolinium Inner Ear MRI in Patients with Acute Low-Tone Sensorineural Hearing Loss
CONCLUSION: Our study showed that the cochlear hydrops ratio, especially in the apex area on the affected side, was significantly higher in patients with ALHL, indicating that EH in the cochlea contributes to the pathogenesis of ALHL.PMID:37641856 | DOI:10.21053/ceo.2023.00486 (Source: Clinical and Experimental Otorhinolaryngology)

Changes in clinical and immunological characteristics according to the various criteria for tissue eosinophilia in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyp
CONCLUSION: Clinical and immunological characteristics were different between eosinophilic and non-eosinophilic CRSwNP depending on a variety of criteria, and the results of this study should be taken into account when choosing the criterion for defining eosinophilic CRSwNP and interpreting the data accordingly.PMID:37641857 | DOI:10.21053/ceo.2023.00542 (Source: Clinical and Experimental Otorhinolaryngology)

Ultrasound-guided Ethanol Percutaneous Ablation versus Rescue Surgery in Patients with Loco-regional Recurrence of Papillary Thyroid Cancer
CONCLUSION: In this retrospective analysis, treatment of PTC neck recurrences with ethanol ablation in selected patients was comparable to rescue surgery in a matched reference group for the long-term risk of structural or biochemical relapse, but with a lower risk of treatment-derived complications. These results support the effectiveness and safety of this minimally invasive technique in the management of selected patients with papillary thyroid cancer recurrence.PMID:37641858 | DOI:10.21053/ceo.2023.00689 (Source: Clinical and Experimental Otorhinolaryngology)
