Analysis of related factors of CRA in lung cancer patients with different serum iron levels: A retrospective cohort study
ConclusionBoth models have good reliability and validity and have significant clinical value. They can help doctors better assess the risk of developing CRA in lung cancer patients. CRP is a risk factor for CRA in lung cancer patients with normal serum iron but not in patients with decreased serum iron. Therefore, whether CRP and the inflammatory state represented by CRP will further aggravate the decrease in serum iron levels, thus contributing to anemia, warrants further study. Tumor analysis of MMR genes in Lynch ‐like syndrome: Challenges associated with results interpretation
DiscussionMore biallelic somatic events were identified at VAF  ≥ 5% than ≥10% (35.9% vs. 25.6%), although the rate of nonconcordant results regarding immunohistochemical pattern increased (30.8% vs. 20.5%). Interpretation difficulties question the current utility of the identification of MMR somatic hits in the diagnostic algorithm of suspected LS case s. (Source: Cancer Medicine)

Prognostic significance of systemic immune ‐inflammation index in patients with nonfunction pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor undergoing surgical resection
ConclusionIn conclusion, our study revealed that a higher SII level was associated with tumor-related features (larger tumor size and advanced grade) and subsequent shorter DFS and OS in patients with nonfunctioning pNETs. These results indicated that the SII could serve as an efficient prognostic biomarker for nonfunctioning pNETs. (Source: Cancer Medicine)

Added value of whole ‐exome and RNA sequencing in advanced and refractory cancer patients with no molecular‐based treatment recommendation based on a 90‐gene panel
ConclusionsIn advanced and refractory cancer patients in whom no MBTR was recommended from TGP/aCGH, WES/RNA-Seq allowed to identify more alterations which may in turn, in a limited fraction of patients, lead to new MBTR. (Source: Cancer Medicine)

Association of household net worth with healthcare costs after radical cystectomy using real ‐world data
ConclusionsLower HHNW conferred greater risk of costly inpatient encounters while greater HHNW had greater odds of less costly office visits, illustrating how financial flexibility fosters differences in healthcare utilization and lower costs. HHNW may serve as a proxy for financial flexibility and risk of financial hardship than income alone. (Source: Cancer Medicine)

Toxicity profiles of immune checkpoint inhibitors for recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma: A systematic review and meta ‐analysis
ConclusionsOur study suggests that the incidences of grade three or more trAEs, treatment-related deaths, and trAEs leading to discontinuation of treatment are low in R/M HNSCC patients treated with ICIs. PD-L1 inhibitors monotherapy may be safer compared with PD-1 inhibitors monotherapy and ICIs combination therapy. (Source: Cancer Medicine)

Similar immune responses to alpha1 ‐oleate and Bacillus Calmette–Guérin treatment in patients with bladder cancer
ConclusionsThe cytokine response profile in alpha 1-oleate treated patients was similar to that reported in BCG treated patients, suggesting a significant overlap. A reduction in protein levels at the end of treatment coincided with inhibition of cancer-related gene expression in tissue biopsies, consistent with a positive treatment effect. Thus, in addition to killing tumor cells and inducing cell detachment, alpha 1-oleate is shown to activate a broad immune response with a protective potential. (Source: Cancer Medicine)
