Balancing on the redline: a qualitative study of the experiences purchasing sugar-sweetened beverages among Indigenous adults in a Canadian urban neighbourhood
CONCLUSION: Purchasing SSB is perceived as a source of judgement when outside of inner-city neighbourhoods. Policymakers should consider how policies directed at SSB, which are consumed by Indigenous and food-insecure populations in greater quantities, may magnify existing racial, class, and weight-based discrimination.PMID:38036852 | DOI:10.17269/s41997-023-00831-z (Source: Canadian Journal of Public Health)

Sense of community belonging and influenza vaccine uptake in Canada
CONCLUSION: Canadians with a strong SoCB had modestly higher uptake of seasonal influenza vaccines. While the association is modest, findings suggest that SoCB may be an important component to investigate further and to consider in efforts aimed to increase the uptake of seasonal influenza vaccines.PMID:38017348 | DOI:10.17269/s41997-023-00833-x (Source: Canadian Journal of Public Health)
