Validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the Holden Communication Scale
ConclusionThe HCS-TR is a valid and reliable tool that can be used for clinical and research purposes to assess the strengths and limitations of the communication skills of Turkish individuals with dementia. (Source: Brain and Behavior)

Lesion location and serum levels of homocysteine are associated with early ‐onset post‐stroke depression in acute ischemic stroke
ConclusionsOur study indicated that higher NIHSS score, elevated serum levels of HCY, and multiple-site lesions may be independent risk factors of early-onset PSD. The combination of HCY, NIHSS scores, multiple-site lesions, and lesion location may provide greater predictive value than HCY alone for early-onset PSD. Early intervention for elevated serum levels of HCY may be a potential target for the intervention and prevention of PSD. (Source: Brain and Behavior)

Considerations on brain age predictions from repeatedly sampled data across time
ConclusionThe absence of maturation effects for the age range in the presented sample, brain age model bias (including training age distribution and field strength), and model error are potential reasons for small relationships between age and brain age in densely sampled longitudinal data. Clinical applications of brain age models should consider of the possibility of apparent biases caused by variation in the data acquisition process. (Source: Brain and Behavior)

Longitudinal follow up of data ‐driven cognitive subtypes in Parkinson's disease
ConclusionDespite limited sample size, the present study supports the differential progression of the posterior-cortical subtype compared to cognitively intact and globally impaired PD. These results encourage further, large-scale longitudinal investigations of cognitive subtypes in PD. (Source: Brain and Behavior)

Neurobehavioral effects of general anesthesia and cochlear implantation on hearing ‐impaired infants: A prospective observational cohort study
ConclusionsWhen evaluating young children with bilateral severe-to-profound sensorineural hearing loss, despite longer exposures to general anesthesia, bilateral cochlear implantations were associated with more improvement in language scores and no differences in other skills compared with those with only unilateral implantation.
