Management of right ventricular outflow tract with percutaneous Melody valve implantation in pediatric patients: experience in a high complexity center in Colombia
CONCLUSIONS: The procedure was minimally invasive, safe, and effective. The IVPP technique could be a viable option in our country for managing failed primary valve implantations or even in native tracts.PMID:38507314 | DOI:10.24875/ACM.22000226 (Source: Archivos de Cardiologia de Mexico)

Evaluation of vital signs through a mobile application in patients with heart failure: a opportunity for remote titration?
CONCLUSION: The estimation of BP and HR by an app with transdermal optical imaging technology was comparable to non-invasive measurement in patients with HF and met the precision criteria for BP measurement in this preliminary study. The use of this new transdermal optical imaging technology provides promising data, which should be corroborated in larger cohorts.PMID:38507315 | DOI:10.24875/ACM.22000221 (Source: Archivos de Cardiologia de Mexico)

Experience with the Kosmos ultrasonographic tool in the approach and treatment of ambulatory patients of a heart failure clinic: a single-center cross-sectional study
CONCLUSIONS: The use of the portable ultrasound facilitated the quantitative characterization of the echocardiographic features of the studied population. This device could provide better clinical characterization which, in turn, might allow for optimized drug prescription for heart failure and dose adjustments of diuretics based on echocardiographic congestion findings.PMID:38507324 | DOI:10.24875/ACM.22000250 (Source: Archivos de Cardiologia de Mexico)

Academic and professional profile of cardiology fellowship graduates of National Institute of Cardiology Ignacio Ch ávez from 2000 to 2015
CONCLUSION: The majority of NIC graduates are physicians who further their academic training by pursuing additional postgraduate programs. They work longer hours per day compared to the general Mexican population, with a significant focus on clinical cardiology. Graduates actively seek opportunities to share their expertise through various academic activities.PMID:38507325 | DOI:10.24875/ACM.22000279 (Source: Archivos de Cardiologia de Mexico)

Pressure control and treatment interact in the deterioration of incidental visuospatial memory in hypertensive patients
CONCLUSIONS: The visuospatial incidental/intentional scores were negatively correlated with systolic pressure. The efficiency in the visuospatial ability depends on the interaction of treatment and effective control of blood pressure. The interaction between treatment and effective pressure control must be taken in count when cognitive deterioration is studied.PMID:38507327 | DOI:10.24875/ACM.22000290 (Source: Archivos de Cardiologia de Mexico)
