Investigating years of life lost in Belgium, 2004 –2019: A comprehensive analysis using a probabilistic redistribution approach
ConclusionThe redistribution process assigned a specific cause of death to all deaths in Belgium, making it possible to investigate the full mortality burden for the first time. A large number of estimates were produced to estimate SEYLL by age, sex, and region for a large number of causes of death and every year between 2004 and 2019. These estimates are important stepping stones for future investigations on Disability-Adjusted Life Years (DALYs) in Belgium. (Source: Archives of Public Health)

Unhealthy food availability, prominence and promotion in a representative sample of supermarkets in Flanders (Belgium): a detailed assessment
ConclusionSupermarket in-store food environments in Flanders were found generally unhealthy, with those located in low income areas having unhealthier in-store food environments than supermarkets located in medium and high income areas. Racial disparity and regional variance in healthcare utilization among patients with lung cancer in US hospitals during 2016 –2019
ConclusionMinority groups and regions are at an increased risk for health inequalities because of differences in healthcare utilization. Hospital managers and policymakers working with these patient populations in identified areas should strive to address these disparities through special prevention programs and targeted financial assistance. Consumption of milk and dairy products and risk of asthma in children: a systematic review and Meta-analysis
ConclusionThere was no correlation between consumption of dairy products and reduced risk of asthma. However, we observed that elevated consumption of milk and dairy has significant correlation with reduced risk of asthma in Non-Asian population and high quality studies. More high-quality and population-specific studies should be conducted to determine the risk link between milk consumption and asthma in children. (Source: Archives of Public Health)
