Methods for meta-analysis and meta-regression of binomial data: concepts and tutorial with Stata command metapreg
Conclusionmetapreg is a flexible, robust and user-friendly tool employing a rigorous approach to evidence synthesis of binomial data that makes the most efficient use of all available data and does not require ad-hoc continuity correction or data imputation. We expect its use to yield higher-quality meta-analysis of binomial proportions. (Source: Archives of Public Health)

How gender and low mental health literacy are related to unmet need for mental healthcare: a cross-sectional population-based study in Sweden
ConclusionThe results show differences in the likelihood of unmet need for mental healthcare based on combinations of gender and mental health literacy level, with men having low mental health literacy being most at risk, and women with high mental health literacy being least at risk. This challenges generalisations of a gender difference in unmet need by showing heterogeneity among men and women based on mental health literacy. Men with low mental health literacy may be particularly in need of targeted interventions to reduce potential individual and societal consequences of their unmet need. Norwegian “dugnad” as a rhetorical device in public health communication during the COVID-19 pandemic. A qualitative study from immigrant’s perspectives
ConclusionHealth communication during pandemics is crucial for maximizing compliance and gaining control of disease spread. In multicultural societies, governments and authorities should be aware of the linguistic and cultural barriers to public health communication if they are to effectively reach the entire population. The use of culturally specific concepts in this context, specially as rhetorical devices, may hinder effective health communication and increase health inequalities. Support interventions to promote health and wellbeing among women with health-related consequences following traumatic experiences linked to armed conflicts and forced migration: a scoping review
ConclusionFew studies have developed and evaluated tailored support interventions for this population, containing a range of components and intra-intervention techniques. No clear focus was identified regarding outcome measures, and most studies used non-probability sampling. Few developed interventions through public contribution in collaboration with women. While limited studies show promising effects on women ’s mental health, more empirical intervention research that closely corresponds to women’s needs are needed. (Source: Archives of Public Health)

Factors affecting nursing practice of patient physical restraint among nurses
ConclusionThis study suggests that knowledge, education experiences on physical restraints, and work unit were the strongest predictor on nursing practice toward use of patient physical restraints. Therefore, developing and applying evidence-based educational intervention programs by work unit to reduce the inappropriate use of physical restraints in hospitals are required. Beyond correlates: the social gradient in childhood overweight
ConclusionChildren from families with low educational background have an elevated risk of overweight, already at a very young age. Education in general (not explicitly health education) seems to play a tremendous role in the prevention of overweight and obesity and should therefore be implied in policies enhancing health equity.Trial registrationDRKS-ID: DRKS00010089.
