Letter to the editor: Community Reintegration After Rehabilitation for Hip Fracture
I read with interest a recent article in the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The authors conducted a meta-analysis to examine the effect of rehabilitation on the physical, social, and psychological aspects of community reintegration of hip fracture patients by summarizing data from the current literature. They emphasized that physical rehabilitation improves the physical and social aspects of community reintegration for hip fracture patients, but the effects of psychological interventions and family interventions are unclear. Response to Letter to the Editor on “Community Reintegration After Rehabilitation for Hip Fracture: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis”
To the editor: –We thank the author for their interest in our systematic review and meta-analysis.1 Reintegrating people with hip fracture into the community can be challenging and should be a key focus of rehabilitation. Our systematic review provides preliminary evidence that rehabilitation after hip fracture improves physical and social community reintegration, but also highlights that further high-quality evidence is required to determine the effect of rehabilitation on community reintegration, using interventions and measures that encompass all dimensions of community reintegration. Explaining Personalized Activity Limitations in Patients with Hand and Wrist Disorders: Insights from Sociodemographic, Clinical, and Mindset Characteristics
: To investigate the association of sociodemographic, clinical, and mindset characteristics on outcomes measured with a patient-specific patient-reported outcome measure (PROM); the Patient Specific Functional Scale (PSFS). Secondly, we examined whether these factors differ when a fixed-item PROM, the Michigan Hand Outcome Questionnaire (MHQ), is used as an outcome. Spatial Neglect Therapy With the Augmented Reality App “Negami” for Active Exploration Training: A Randomized Controlled Trial on 20 Stroke Patients With Spatial Neglect
To investigate the efficacy of the augmented reality (AR) app “Negami” as an active exploration training for the treatment of spatial neglect. Improvements of the ipsilesional attention and orientation bias (and resulting contralesional neglect) will be examined in stroke patients with spatial neglect and compared with a control group. Spatial Neglect is Not a Visual Field Defect: A Guide for Clinicians
Visual field defect and spatial neglect may occur simultaneously or separately after a stroke. People with these conditions often experience significant disability and reduced quality of life. Understanding the differences between them will help guide screening, assessments, and treatment approaches in rehabilitation. (Source: Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation)

Epidemiology of limb amputations and prosthetic use during covid-19 pandemic in the netherlands
To evaluate the trends in the incidence of major limb amputations and the prevalence of Dutch prosthetic users at the national level in The Netherlands between 2012 and 2021 (during the COVID-19 pandemic). Local hospitals in The Netherlands reported a doubling of major lower limb amputations during COVID-19, information about a change in the incidence of major upper limb amputations was not reported. We could not confirm this remarkable increase in major lower limb amputations in our institution, nor did we observe a change in the incidence of major upper limb amputations.
