Consumer's preferences and willingness to pay for immune enhanced dairy products in Canada
This study examined consumer preferences for, willingness to pay for, and the most preferred mode of delivery for immune enhanced dairy products across Canada. Relation between orthorexia nervosa and healthy orthorexia: A latent profile analysis
Appetite. 2023 Dec 14:107165. doi: 10.1016/j.appet.2023.107165. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTOrthorexic eating behaviors can be conceptualized as a bidimensional construct encompassing an orthorexia nervosa dimension (ON) and a healthy orthorexia dimension (HO). Although variable-centered studies showed that ON and HO are distinguishable orthorexic eating behaviors, the evidence of whether they can co-occur or be distinct in subgroups of individuals is still limited. The present study aimed to address previous person-centered studies' limitations by examining profiles of ON and HO among a convenience sample of 251 French-...

Barriers to home food preparation and healthy eating among university students in Catalonia
Appetite. 2023 Dec 14:107159. doi: 10.1016/j.appet.2023.107159. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTDespite college being a critical life stage for developing enduring healthy dietary behaviours, Spanish university students show poor adherence to a healthy diet. Since research has shown an association between home cooking and healthy eating, the aim of this study was to analyse the main barriers that influence home food preparation and healthy eating among students at three Catalan universities. Focus groups, the photovoice technique and a validated questionnaire were used. Six focus groups (10 female; 14 male; aged 18-22) were ...

Interindividual variability in energy intake and expenditure during a weight loss intervention
CONCLUSIONS: Decreases in EI were not associated to compensatory responses such as decreases in PA and/or increases in sedentary time. Interindividual variability was found for EI and EE. Nevertheless, behavioral compensations and the interindividual variability should be considered when implementing WL interventions, to increase the likelihood of achieving sustainable results.
