Relationships between climate change distress, generalized anxiety, and climate-related symptoms of mental disorders
CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest that reactions to climate change take two forms. Some people do not experience climate change-related symptoms of mental disorders, and some do. People who experience symptoms have higher levels of climate change distress, and the frequency with which they experience these symptoms is determined by their dispositional, generalized anxiety.PMID:38533554 | DOI:10.1080/10615806.2024.2332628 (Source: Anxiety, Stress, and Coping)

The impact of moral injury on trajectories of depression: a five-year longitudinal study among recently discharged Israeli veterans
CONCLUSIONS: PMIE experiences, and especially PMIE-Betrayal experiences, were found to be valid predictors of higher severity of depression symptoms after the first year following discharge.PMID:38529565 | DOI:10.1080/10615806.2024.2333374 (Source: Anxiety, Stress, and Coping)

Antenatal anxiety symptoms outperform antenatal depression symptoms and suicidal ideation as a risk factor for postpartum suicidal ideation
CONCLUSIONS: Antenatal anxiety symptoms, depression symptoms, and SI were positively associated with postpartum SI. When examined simultaneously, anxiety symptoms during the antenatal phase (but not depression symptoms or SI) predicted SI in the postpartum phase.PMID:38523456 | DOI:10.1080/10615806.2024.2333377 (Source: Anxiety, Stress, and Coping)

How public commuting stress promotes employee turnover intention: an examination through the lens of the transactional theory of stress
CONCLUSIONS: The findings highlight the stressor appraisal mechanism in the association between commuting stress and turnover intention and identify trait mindfulness as a key coping mechanism for reducing commuting stress.PMID:38506311 | DOI:10.1080/10615806.2024.2331835 (Source: Anxiety, Stress, and Coping)

The associations between repetitive negative thinking, insomnia symptoms, and sleep quality in adults with a history of trauma
CONCLUSIONS: This study demonstrates significant associations linking RNT with insomnia and sleep disturbance in trauma-exposed individuals. Clinically, results suggest that it may be helpful to target both general and trauma-related RNT in sleep interventions for trauma-exposed individuals with insomnia.PMID:38425171 | DOI:10.1080/10615806.2024.2324266 (Source: Anxiety, Stress, and Coping)
