Cognitive and academic profiles in children with cerebral palsy: a narrative review
Discussion. An adequate interdisciplinary follow-up of children with CP requires a sensitization of clinicians to the complex topic of cognitive and academic problems in this population and a better synergy between the medical and educational worlds. Pain in adults with cerebral palsy: a systematic review and meta-analysis of individual participant data
ConclusionsThis meta-analysis provides the first reliable pain prevalence estimate in a large international sample of adults with CP. The high prevalence of pain, 70%, suggests that adults with CP should be routinely screened for pain and treated accordingly. The range of measurement instruments used by the included studies emphasizes using common outcome measures specific to pain internationally. (Source: Annals of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine)

Charlie Chaplin and gesture training in severe aphasia: a randomized double-blind single-case experimental design
Conclusions. Mute films that use intensive non-verbal communication may be a useful add-on to speech therapy for individuals with aphasia. Improving naming in severe and chronic aphasia may not be feasible, and more effort could be devoted to improving gesture-based and non-verbal communication. Effect of chronic stretching interventions on the mechanical properties of muscles in patients with stroke: A systematic review
ConclusionLong interventions involving high stretching volumes and/or loads may have effects on muscle/joint mechanical properties, for preventing/treating contractures after stroke injury, but need to be further explored before firm conclusions are drawn. Time to be Ready to Void: a new tool to assess the time needed to perform micturition for patients with multiple sclerosis
Conclusion: The TRV is a new tool to measure the global time needed to be ready to achieve micturition in PwMS. It seems useful in clinical practice for overactive bladder in addition to the classical warning time because it takes into account all the time needed to accomplish micturition (mobility, undressing, installation). Botulinum toxin infiltrations versus local anaesthetic infiltrations in pelvic floor myofascial pain: multicentre, randomized, double-blind study
Conclusion. This study does not justify the use of botulinum toxin in the context of chronic pelvic pain with myofascial syndrome but does justify muscle injections with LA alone. (Source: Annals of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine)

Tai Chi for improving balance and reducing falls: an overview of 14 systematic reviews
Conclusions: Tai Chi may be beneficial for improving balance and reducing falls in older people and those with Parkinson disease. Because of limitations and inconsistent conclusions, further rigorous, normative and comprehensive SRs are needed to provide robust evidence for definitive conclusions. Effect of a strong desire to void on walking speed in individuals with multiple sclerosis and urinary disorders
Conclusion: This study suggests a clinical impact of bladder sensation on walking speed in IwMS and urinary disorders. None of the individual characteristics could predict greater decrease in gait velocity at SDV. (Source: Annals of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine)
