What radiolabeled FAPI pet can add in breast cancer? A systematic review from literature
AbstractTo provide an overview of the current available data about FAPI PET in breast cancer patients, with a perspective point of view. A literature search for studies about FAPI PET in the last 5  years (from 2017 to January 2023) was carried out on MEDLINE databases, such as PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science and Google Scholar using the following keywords: “PET” AND “FAPI” AND “Breast Cancer” AND “Fibroblast imaging”. The Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASP) checklist for diagnostic test studies was used for testing the quality of selected papers. 13 articles were selected, including 172 patients affec...

Role of volumetric parameters obtained from 68  Ga-PSMA PET/CT and 18F-FDG PET/CT in predicting overall survival in patients with mCRPC receiving taxane therapy
ConclusionVolumetric parameters and Pro-PET scores obtained from68 Ga-PSMA PET/CT and18F-FDG PET/CT imaging have been shown to have an impact on OS in patients with mCRPC receiving taxane therapy. (Source: Annals of Nuclear Medicine)

Usefulness of preset count acquisition in pediatric 99m Tc-DMSA planar imaging
ConclusionsThe minimum acquisition count required for the DIQ was 300,000. In addition, PCA at 300,000 counts was demonstrated to be useful by providing stable image quality at the shortest acquisition time. (Source: Annals of Nuclear Medicine)

Performance of dedicated breast PET in breast cancer screening: comparison with digital mammography plus digital breast tomosynthesis and ultrasound
ConclusionsDbPET had a compatible sensitivity to DM-DBT and breast US for invasive breast cancer. The specificity of dbPET was improved and became higher than that of DM-DBT. DbPET may be a feasible screening modality. (Source: Annals of Nuclear Medicine)

Cardiac sympathetic activity and relationship to cardiac events and left ventricular reverse remodeling in patients with non-ischemic dilated cardiomyopathy
ConclusionsThe123I-mIBG WR was associated with the prevalence of LV-RR in patients taking 100% of beta-blockers and 98.5% of renin-angiotensin system inhibitors. Reflecting the contractile reserve, the combined assessment of the delayed HMR and WR could be used to further precisely stratify the patients with DCM. (Source: Annals of Nuclear Medicine)

Quantitative analysis of lung function and airway remodeling using ventilation/perfusion single photon emission tomography/computed tomography and HRCT in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma
ConclusionsQuantitative assessment of ventilation and perfusion abnormalities and the degree of pulmonary functional loss by V/P SPECT/CT shows promise as an objective measure to assess the severity of disease and lung function to guide localized treatments. There are differences between HRCT parameters and SPECT/CT parameters among the disease severity groups in asthma and COPD, which may enhance, to some extent, the understanding of complex physiological mechanisms in asthma and COPD. Toward standardization of tau PET imaging corresponding to various tau PET tracers: a multicenter phantom study
ConclusionsThe phantom activity was comprehensive for first- and second-generation tau PET tracers. The mid-range activity that we determined could be applied to later tau PET tracers. We propose an analytical tau-specific VOI template based on tau pathophysiological changes in patients with AD to standardize tau PET imaging. Phantom images reconstructed under the optimized conditions for tau PET imaging achieved excellent image quality and quantitative accuracy. (Source: Annals of Nuclear Medicine)
